There's recently been an influx of subscribers so I want to go ahead and remind people to please

  1. Read the sidebar

  2. Don't downvote comments that are adding to the discussion

The up/down vote balance fluctuates wildly depending on the subject matter at hand but generally the two sides votes seem to even out in the end. Recently I've been noticing a lot more downvotes being flung around here. We really want to avoid that, and anyone participating here should be on board with that. If you downvote the other side for the sake of downvoting then you're own sides arguments lose credibility. You want to "win" the argument? Let the points stand on their own merit and don't vote based on which side other posters identify with. Upvoting is of course fine.

Thank you,

The PPD mod team :)

P.s. Reddiquette is your friend. Please continue to treat others with respect and let's keep this subreddit one where we can put aside our differences for the sake of intelligent discussion and of course, masterdebating. :p
