Hi there purple pill. I am a woman and have mixed views about The Wall. For those of you who are unfamiliar with the term - from what I understand - "The Wall" is when a woman loses her sexual market value by turning 30.

I suppose this makes sense, because this is the age when she is no longer considered youthful, and therefore, might have some more difficulty attracting a mate.

From what I understand, it doesn't mean that she CAN'T attract a mate at 30, it just means that sexuality and attractiveness won't be as prominent as it was in her teens and 20's.

Sure, I know that there are many women who are still smoking hot in their 30's, I think "The Wall" is just a generalization.

I'm sure a woman who is sweet, has a good personality and other good assets can attract a mate. Heck, a woman in my family just got married at like 35. But I guess the argument is that it will be harder to attract a "quality male" in your 30's, than it would be in your 20's.

This worries me because I am a 26 year old female. I hope one day to have children, but right now I am not married. I do have a long term boyfriend, of 3 years. However, I have many incredibly mixed feelings about the relationship. On one hand, I have a lot of love for this guy. I think he's very sweet, romantic, we have a lot of fun together and have a bunch of mutual interests.

The problem however, is that he is very immature, irresponsible and has a great deal of trouble taking care of himself. (His parents did pretty much everything for him growing up, so he has an incredibly dependent personality). He really doesn't know how to chart his life or create a sense of direction. He's been out of college for about a year and half, and he's still living at home. He has gotten part time or temporary jobs here and there, but he is struggling immensely just to get a basic full time job - not his dream job - just a basic JOB! I know the economy is bad and all that jazz, but I think he's not trying as hard as he could be.

Anyways, I suppose I shouldn't go on too long, because this thread is supposed to be about "The Wall." I'm worried. If this guy can't be a responsible life partner and equal, should I try to find someone more responsible before I "hit the wall"? I feel like I still really love this guy, I just don't know if I can rely on him and worry that I'm wasting the better parts of my youth on him.

Anyways, what are your views on "The Wall?"
