They want you to do the leg work of “showing them around”. They can’t plan a date because they “don’t know what’s good around here.” It’s as if in their minds the Internet suddenly ceases to exist! Or, more likely, they don’t want to do any work at all.

I’m with a man who’s “new in town” but he genuinely appears to be HV (at least at this point). He seems to keep in touch with friends, but through FT and they’re all down South. But his “new in town” translated to “I’d like a girlfriend I can explore this town with and with family and fiends I can get to know”. His apartment is clean and nice, but actually reflects someone who’s just moved in. And his profile didn’t say “new in town” ... he told me he was new to the area after several dates. I think if “new In town” is written on an OLD profile it may have different connotations? Guys who are actually new in town may be a good pick!... however, they aren’t going to flaunt it as a sympathy ploy.

Literally all of Los Angeles on OLD. It’s just so low effort, this is their excuse to sit back and get women to make all the plans. OLD in general just screams low effort to me. FDS got me all repulsed by it.

Yes! Went on a date with a guy like this. He would go to bars every night (during the pandemic mind you) within walking distance bc he didn't have a car.

After we went out, he hit me up every Wednesday-Friday like clockwork for same night plans. But with no set location because "he didn't know any good places down here".
