This is darkly humorous to me. So women can live on their own and care for themselves and flourish in their old age, but men are so coddled that they literally cannot and end up looking for women to marry just to survive.

I just have a mental image of an old shriveled leech desperately searching for a host while it slides down the inevitable slope towards death and irrelevance, fully knowing what’s coming and unable to stop it. Cant stop the cackling lol

That guy is so annoying. Asked five times for marriage? Take a hint. And it says he "believes in marriage", quite frankly I don't buy it. I believe in marriage. I am married. This is it. The only time I will marry. Even if he passes (and we are barely middle aged so hopefully not soon) I will never remarry, and I will never share a home again, even if I have to rent a tiny apartment/

This is good news! I plan on buying a house. Just mine. My own. And honestly? I don’t think I want anyone in my house when I’m not there lol. I’m only 28 and I lived with my ex fiancé years ago. Haven’t had the urge to change that. At all. I’ve been asked from various suiters if they’d like me to move in with them and it’s been a kind no from me every time. I’ve been in the military for 9 years and I just can’t justify slowing down my lifestyle to drag a man around the world and possibly have the walnut try to talk to me about children. Shudder
