No, marry whenever you want. It's just a bad government contract and illogical, but whatever makes you happy.

If you're interested in family, you are going to have to deal with women's fertility declining if you're looking for someone in your age group.

the average age of menopause is 51, so you'll have to meet, date, love, marry, and pretty much immediately have kids. And it won't be impossible that you'll have to go through IVF to do so, so that'll no doubt make your sex life far more enjoyable.

Alternately adopt, that would be much easier. If you're going that option there's ways you can do it completely for free (and legally).

Either that, or marry much lower, and you'll have to ask what will make you attract a much younger woman in her more consistent fertility years.

You'd just be a slightly older dad if you have kids but it shouldn't be a big deal. Being late 30s and settling down with a woman who's like 31 should be fine, don't stress man but I understand.

It’s not too old, you just need to consider what it implies. My friend’s dad had her when he was 46 and his son when he was 49. His kids are now 25 and 22 and he’s turning 72 soon and is not doing great health-wise. And I mean, life expectancy is 76 for men, so being ill at 72 isn’t that shocking. He’s finding it really hard to cope with the fact that he probably won’t be around to see his kids turn into proper adults and he won’t be able to experience being a grandfather. His wife (14 years younger) is trying to accept the fact that she’ll be probably be alone for the next 20 years of her life. The kids have to deal with losing their father at a much younger age.

Compared to them, my dad is currently 44 and he has a 23 year old daughter. He jumped into fatherhood way too young but from his child’s perspective, I’m really glad that he’ll (hopefully) be around till I’m a little old lady myself.

That depends. How many children do you want? I'm 26 and I would never look at a guy over 30. But if I was over 35 I would probably date you. But women at this age night not want to have too many kids.

Just make sure that the woman who has the baby is still younger. Risk of birth defects are higher in women over 40.

Lots of people don't think much past whether they can help produce a baby. Think about what sort of parent you'll be at advance ages. Even if you can produce a sibling at 45, will you be active enough physically at 50? Will you be psychologically open enough at 55? All that's important too.

Not in today generation.....basically the west has fucked up and extended childhood for this generation until 25 or 26 years old....

There is nothing unusual about 30 yo undergrads or 33 years old starting their first career position but know that you are unlikely to find a quality wife in her late 30s who is going to want to have children or who don't already have a child or two. But trying to compress the entire family thing into 4 years for this generation is going to mean lots of bad choices, decision and fucked up situations.

You really need to scour for a compatible girl NOW in a similar situation for this journey together....at a more mature age, it should be much easier to juggle schools, work, relationship and the rest...you aren't 19yo any longer just fucking around because it is more fun to smoke weed and skate than study, work and relationship.
