*From which, by the way, I am exempt in this post due to my endorsed status.

I'm going to try to make this short and sweet.

You know why your car insurance bill is so high? Because of the number of fucking morons with cars. To a lesser extent, because of the number of idiots with cars. To a still lesser extent, because of the number of a-little-slower-than-the-average-bears with cars. You know why you pay it, even though you don't get anything tangible for your money? Because you have no choice.

The new posting rules are similar. They weren't instated because you are a moron, idiot or some other intellectually challenged person, they were instated because morons exist.

Now as the first line of this post states, Endorsed members/veterans are exempt under the rules. If you don't like having to apply the most basic structure imaginable to a few hundred words of text, then either become endorsed (by following the rules and submitting high quality content on a consistent basis) or just lurk from now on.

To all you 'free spirits' who agree with this comment;

You do realize that these new posting rules are just destroying perfectly good posts like this with plenty of helpful comments that will never be seen again on Reddit because you decide that any post that doesn't fit your little criteria will be deleted, just like a vindictive 5th grade English teacher who makes arbitrary word-limits on her students' essays. Two words short of a 500 word essay? Automatic F.

I say this; If you actually have the balls to walk up to a teacher (imagine /u/redpillschool standing there) with 498 words when that fucker told you 500 and the consequences for breaking the rule, what the fuck do you expect? And as for the rule itself, I have zero sympathy for the whinging about how it 'destroys good posts'. It's the most basic structure imaginable. 2 general stages that the mods are not strict in their description of - they just have to loosely be there. They even admit you don't necessarily need one stage (lessons learned) for RP Theory posts. Are you fucking kidding me? If that 'destroys' what content you have, then good - what you had was a steaming pile of shit and we're better off without it.

TL;DR: The new rules demand clear content. Nobody is above such an obligation unless the community endorses them. Nobody should be upset by such an obligation because the world literally teaches teenagers the same thing in English class, and we're the elite of humanity's more intelligent, capable and stoic gender, for fuck's sake. Deal with the world how it is. This is how TRP is now.
