Just got kicked out my house

So im laying in a hotel room thinking about what im going to do next. I haven't really researched, but im not sure i can get an apartment with all this going on.

The worst part is that im depressed. I really dont care about my life. I dont care to do a single thing. Im constantly going from i can do this to lethargy. My working out is eroding. I tried to gain even more weight for the sake of size, but my parents kept bitching at me for "eating too much," despite me contributing to groceries. Its really because i smoke too much.

Ive got about 25k saved but COL will definitely be over 50% of my income. Will i still be able to get an apartment? Thanks guys

There’s an excellent opportunity to learn a lesson, and change your life in the best way possible. Great stories start like this. Shitty ones end like this.

Up to you which story you live.

100%. At this age my landlord did some extra sketchy stuff to get us to break our lease so he could sell the house cause somebody offered him a fat deal.

There was no winning in court even tho he was absolutely wrong we were just 3 young kids.

I took the opportunity to finally leave the midwest shithole and move to the coast and it ended up being the best thing to ever happen to me.

[–]SevereYam12 points3 points  (0 children) | Copy

Do you have a car or a tent you can sleep in? Hotels are too expensive. Sleep in your car in a Wal-Mart parking lot.

[–]Rispy_Girl17 points18 points  (0 children) | Copy

Another temporary option is a cheap motel. You might even be able to negotiate their rates down further, especially if you plan to stay there for a bit. The car option is definitely best imo. Also truck stops are great places to go because they have people in and out 24/7 and they have security. Though not sure if they are open considering all that's going on. Oh and gas stations tend to have tp and water bottles even when stores don't.

I moved out 15+ years ago with $700 cash, an 85 gmc rolling on 37" clapped out boggers, my pup and my pup tent.

My rents sat me down after i graduated to discuss "college options", I told them my truck was packed then sat patiently through my moms denial and my dads knowing grin that made me a bit nervous. Well, super nervous to be as accurate.

I figured out in my early teens that If I live in their house, i live by their rules. I didnt like their rules, i didnt like my moms expectations of me being as DR.,lawer ect. After a breif chat i hopped in my truck and drove 3hrs to a town i loved! I had been there a few times and it was GLORIOUS! I grabbed a campsite at the local state park in my new home town confident i could land as job and rent a house within 3 weeks.

;) 5 months later its cold, camp ground is closing and I sell my mighty big block, 3spd, loyal gmc steed on big bad ass (bald af) boggers for 2k and buy a $500 buick lesabre so i have enough cash to rent a basement from a crack head and his crack whore wife that constantly screamed at their 5 unruly, shitty fucking kids. Lol fucking awesome!

I did shit the hardest way for all the right reasons. Most will tell you I wasnt "ready" to move out but i was sooooooo fucking ready to move out and i did. Then I learned, got my ass handed to me a few million times and all the sudden i was HUMBLE and enjoying the little things in life. while walking the dog i would collect beer cans and after work i was shoveling horse shit for beer money. In 2005 Every clean stall earned enough to buy 2 natty tallboys. Bills paid and $.$$ for nattys, fucking killing it!

Currently in my 30s & pulling 6 figures without a degree.

Your parents did you a favor, go claim your piece of this word and fucking savor it!

You have two choices, suffer to tolerating someone making your life easy and follow their rules.

Or

Suffer and grow while experiencing life on your own, its worth it!

I fucking love my mom for drilling me with obserd expectations and my dads "if you dont like it... do somthing about it" delivered with a shrug and shit eating grin! Without my parents pressure to grow the fuck up I'd be an entitled Pussy like you.

Its totally worth it, quit your bitching and grind!

I didnt see or talk to my parents much the first two years, the freedom was awesome and it required working lots of hours. My Dad and I have always been close, about 3 yeara after moving out my mom and I started getting closer. I am now and have been loving time with my parents and siblings for years. I just need to get out, man up and grow up.

Now here I am in my 30s on trp/mrp because once i got my career on track and i didnt have to grind 24/7 i got lazy!

Dont fucking do that!

[–]sehns41 points42 points  (9 children) | Copy

I dunno, OP might very well be a real piece of shit, we don't know. Don't judge without knowing the whole story.

[–]clickherebaby[S] 5 points6 points  (8 children) | Copy

Shit maybe i am a real piece of shit.

[–]sehns2 points3 points  (7 children) | Copy

I'm not making a judgement bro, i'm just saying we don't have enough facts to choose a side here. It sounds to me like you're wallowing around in depression, over eating, and your mother is tired of cleaning up after you and buying groceries for you to just eat it all. Maybe you're a good kid and they are cunts? We don't know, only you do. But the fastest way is to move out and start being responsible for yourself.

[–]clickherebaby[S] 1 point2 points  (6 children) | Copy

Fuck i wish i could eat less. Other than a couple things, i dont actually like eating. Sounds stupid but its true. I went from 179 to 222 in the past 6-8 months and its gotta be maintained right?

I bought groceries last week and then went again for some things a few days ago.

Theres many times i clean the dishes for everyone else, or take out the trash or clean up in the kitchen, clean the bathroom weekly

Am i perfect? No. 1 in 10 instances ill leave a dish, or a napkin or overeat. Stuff anyone else in the household would do but not be scorned for because they dont smoke.

Like theyll accept that i do (tolerate is a better word) and then randomly decide its time to reprimand. Idk why ive stayed so long when they treated me different long before i smoked.

I told my dad i could tell forsure that no matter how hard he tried, i know he couldnt like me as a son, even if he tried. And he does. Immediately he got pissed and told me to leave so i did.

The source of my shifty neuroticism is them. Your parents are suppose to instill the best in you, not hold you to a standard but treating you as if youll never reach it. Its messed up cleaning dishes when asked and upon my own volition only to be treated as if i truly never do them.

that's why i feel so unprepared. Ive got 25k but none of the reinforcements mentally to feel like i can make it. I suck with relationships so i don't know who i can really trust. If i was normal i wouldve moved out on my own, but when your mom calls you a piece of shit or a dirty rag consistently for years and you look up to her in ways, its not easy shaking that. And like i said my dad doesnt give a shit. I actually feel bad that he has to try so hard to like his own son. The misunderstanding between us is immense, and our conditioned relationship wont allow them to really hear me from my heart.

[–]mickenrorty2 points3 points  (2 children) | Copy

You honestly sound like a piece of shit who blames others and the world for your problems... you sound like a blue pilled soyboy who needs to digest TRP to survive...

Or maybe I’m wrong and your parents suck

[–]clickherebaby[S] 0 points1 point  (1 child) | Copy

Lmao maybe man. I usually consider myself a piece of shit and try to convince myself otherwise. I dont usually succeed.

[–]mickenrorty0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy

Admitting shitty behaviour is the first step to changing it

[–]sehns0 points1 point  (2 children) | Copy

25k is impressive for a younger guy in your situation, most people are usually living hand to mouth and wasting money on stupid shit. At least you have financial discipline.

If you're doing chores and helping around the house then that's good. But probably what you should be doing is helping them out with some rent. Even something like $400 a month so you're contributing to the household might go a long way in your parents eyes.

When you say smoke are we talking cigarettes or weed?

Unfortunately we don't get to choose our parents. If the situation really is untenable after you're contributing fully to the household I wouldn't recommend getting a roommate. Go get yourself the crappiest studio apartment you can afford and enjoy being independent.

At least you found the red pill. Read that sidebar, you know what you gotta do.

[–]clickherebaby[S] 0 points1 point  (1 child) | Copy

Thanks man! I paid off my school too so no debt which makes this a bit easier. I smoke weed. Even if i quit im sure theyll find something else.

I dont want a roommate. I think its best to live alone and grow as an individual. I know i need that.

[–]sehns0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy

The trick with weed is to be disciplined about it and have a promise with yourself that you'll only smoke it when you're winning. It doesn't really sound like you're winning right now so you should avoid it for a little while until you're in a better situation. Good luck dude!

[–]LilLoserFreny7 points8 points  (0 children) | Copy

Nah fr his parents ain’t shit😂

[–]Hyperdude11 points12 points  (0 children) | Copy

Don't have to get an apartment. Go on facebook or Craigslist and find a room to rent. Cost between 600 -800 a month with utilities included. Getting kicked out was probably the best thing for you.

Still, a very evil move, probably with very evil intentions.

I really dont care about my life. I dont care to do a single thing.

Ironically comes onto a forum full of men who talk about sexual strategy to bitch about sleeping in hotel and 25k and asking what will I do.

This place has really gone down hill, a thread like this wouldn't even be considered here 2 years ago.

[–]clickherebaby[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy

Im just depressed. Hard to consistently function.

[–]throwawaycunt19974 points5 points  (0 children) | Copy

Bwahaha. I remember my days when I moved out. Got tired of my parents’ shit and developed a sociopathic level of game that lead me to “bed surfing” (like couch surfing, except using pussy to get a pass) so I can live independently of my folks without paying a cent. The downside was the sunken time costs; bitch management can become a full time job. Man, the streets will humble you and redpill you like nothing else.

I can’t offer you much advice. Not with the small amount of input that was given, and further because I moved back into my parents’ place to save money and get comfortable with the solitude. That, and my folks are at least more forgiving, if because of their own massive shortcomings. Unless it’s related to taking a route I took to ease the strain by, well, bed surfing, and that’s just gaming/fucking honeys like your life depends on it. You can easily get by sleeping in a tent or your car. My advice: The car is more comfortable. Hotels are too expensive to be sleeping in too; those are for fucking in.

Either way, man, the pressure will push you to greatness. Don’t give into it; let it push you to grander things. You’re a man, you’ll naturally figure it out.

Alternatively, if moving back into your parents is what you need (and you’re under 25) then you need to figure out why and whether if it’s a conditional thing, or whether it was just time for you to leave the nest. If it was the latter, then refer to the previous paragraph.

Edit: You need to quit the smoking. I’ve read some of your other posts, and I’ve done that shit. It’s why I ran away to begin with. It might sound cliché, but your parents were probably being honest when they said it was because of the smoking. It’s not just the smoking though, it’s why are you smoking so goddamn much? You’re running from an internal problem you have and you’re being too much of a fucking pussy to confront it, that’s why. Your parents intuitively know this, and they’re kicking you out for being a giant emo pussy they don’t have respect for. Quit fucking smoking, tell your parents you’ll quit, and fucking deal with the problem like a man.

Edit2: Check your chats, fag

[–]Unboundaries2 points3 points  (0 children) | Copy

First thing is to stop using smoking as a distraction from the problem at hand. You have enough money to make it. You'll be fine, but you should try making amends with your parents at this time. That's my opinion, but hotels are expensive. If you can find a friend to stay with for a bit, do that. But you should probably try to work things out with your parents at this time.

If none of that works, go on Craigslist and Facebook and find a roommate

do yourself a favor and let go of thinking about trying to make life be exactly as you want it right now. instead, start thinking about what you need to do to make your circumstances work. once that's done, start working to better your circumstances so you can make life work the way it sustainably in the future. you have to build yourself up and make something of yourself. You start at the bottom, like the rest of us.

get into a rental with a roommate. my best roommates were always guys i didn't know ahead of time, to be honest. find people that you can live with, not friends that end up having very different "home" living styles. the basics are people that will stay out of your business, respect your space, and help keep the common areas livable make the best roommates, not friends that you can drink, smoke, and party with.

and give up the weed. it's a waste of money with no return on investment. the consequences of it can also be getting arrested, etc. seriously, it's not worth the risk. switch to better quality bourdon or scotch, mezcal, etc. - and learn a little bit of cool mixology to make some nice cocktails instead. much cheaper, won't land you in trouble, and can even be used as a something to rope in a few chicks.

[–]Rispy_Girl0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy

From the depression stand point this is a great chance to learn more about you and improve your life. Yeah working out will help improve you physically and mentally in pretty much every way, but there are other things you can work on. I thought I was depressed and it turns out I was sleeping like shit in the place I was sleeping, so I'd sleep for 12 hrs and still be tired. Maybe you like to stop and look at the architecture of a house, but your parents always hurried you along. Even in diet you're in a good place because you can try bulking and no one is going to criticize you. There's no one telling you that you have to do things in a particular way anymore. This is a good opportunity to find yourself and what you like. You may be kicked out during an epidemic, but you have savings and can easily get through this on those savings. You're in a good place. A different place than you expected to be in, but a good place.
