Masculinity is under attack in America, and there is no better example than the downfall of ESPN.

Anyone who has been a steady consumer of ESPN over the last decade has surely noticed the network’s unmistakable shift towards a liberal agenda. I believe it began in 2014 with the obsessive, around-the-clock coverage of Michael Sam, a below-mediocre football player who became the first publicly-gay player to be drafted into the NFL.

The point of no return happened in 2015, when ESPN awarded Bruce (I refuse to call him Caitlyn) Jenner the Arthur Ashe Courage Award. This was a deliberate pursuit of a liberal agenda and an obvious attempt to increase viewership by appealing to an audience that has no interest in sports (feminists).

Since then, ESPN has relentlessly pushed a liberal ideology on its viewers. Its opinion shows talk about Trump (negatively) more than they talk about actual sports. They also peddle women’s rights, bullshit equality, and they consistently attack white male sports figures who don’t support the liberal agenda. Not even 2 weeks ago, ESPN led a witch-hunt of Under Armour CEO Kevin Plank for his pro-Trump comments. They also recently crucified Tom Brady for being friends with Donald Trump.

This post is not intended to complain about liberals. Rather, it is to demonstrate that masculinity is under attack in all aspects of American society. It used to be that men could turn on their TVs to watch sports without having to deal with politics or feminism. Sports was a male space where men could watch brutal NFL hits and top athletes compete. Now, this inherently male space has been infiltrated by women, feminism, and the left-wing.

The response? ESPN is hemorrhaging subscribers, with recent estimates estimating losses of 500,000 subscribers per MONTH. Granted, most of these are cable cutters, but some of them (like me) are fed up with the liberal infiltration of a once male space.

Be aware, gentlemen. The media is against you. Not even your sports are safe.
