Yuuuuup. It’s funny how quick “Babe what’s wrong? You can tell me anything.”
Turns into “The only reason you think I’m cheating is because your mom left your family. Don’t take your issues with women out on me!”
PS: she was cheating

We know...
[–]Michael_Huntington133 points134 points135 points 5 years ago (13 children) | Copy Link
“If you think she’s cheating, she probably is.”
This was not a fun lesson to learn, but it’s an important one. Trust your gut: when a situation feels feels wrong, it’s usually because there’s a major piece of information you don’t know.
[–]BonelessSkinless84 points85 points86 points 5 years ago* (7 children) | Copy Link
It's the really subtle changes in behavior too. Not calling when they used to at a specific time, seeming detached even when in your presence, ready to eat your dick before but now just wants you to come over and watch lord of the rings like actually watch it and gets annoyed when you try to fool around during it like you always used to.
The lackluster effort in texts, upkeep of the abode, always on their phones, saying the vibrations are game alerts but you press the home button on her phone when she's in the washroom* and you see a block of 10 waiting messages from different guys... it's fucking disgusting and infuriating, especially if you're dumb enough and naive enough to think you're the only guy she's talking to. You're NEVER the only guy she's talking to even when you think you are.

Once you realize that your relationships with women are more like rentals than purchases you won't be phased by this sort of behavior.
[–]LordyJesusChrist27 points28 points29 points 5 years ago* (1 child) | Copy Link
I like the analogy but fuck rentals...There’s a reason blockbuster went outta business.
Why rent your relationships when you can stream them
[–]debanked1 point2 points3 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

[–]SirChoGath2 points3 points4 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

[–]Renzolol8 points9 points10 points 5 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Gut is kind of a weird super power once you learn to listen to it and actually trust it.
You pick up on so many things subconsciously that you aren't aware of but there's a little dude in the back of your head piecing that shit together like an episode of CSI.
[–]Raygar210 points1 point2 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Yes, once you learn to listen to your gut instincts the world starts to look very different. You can start
to see people for what they really are. Definite game changer.

Well, it wont always get used against you. Sometimes, she will just leave you.
This is an important part of mgtow/red pill theory that a lot of people miss. Showing emotiomal weakness is a huge turn off. If you open up to your girlfriend, she wont alwats use it against you, because she may be gone before she even has the chance.
[–]ChroniccLogicc5 points6 points7 points 5 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link
Here’s what I don’t get... why would a woman push for something she doesn’t find attractive? I really want to give women the benefit of doubt but they really do seem fucking dumb.
[–]TheRabbitTunnel9 points10 points11 points 5 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link
My best guess is that its evolutionarily programmed into them to seek out potential flaws in their mates (shit test, if youve ever heard that). The females that found legitimate flaws in their mates were more likely to survive. But its nonsensical in civilization, hence the phrase "shit test".
Its also possible that they dont know they will be less attracted to a guy who opens up.
Its also possible that its a defense mechanism to try to hide the truth. She feels like she may lose attraction to you for opening up, so she attempts to hide this by encouraging you to open up to her.
Maybe its a mix of all 3
[–]ChroniccLogicc-1 points0 points1 point 5 years ago* (3 children) | Copy Link
I’m not sure if you watch his videos, but Owen Benjamin has said numerous times that he has opened up to his wife about all his insecurities, and they’re still happily married. So maybe it is possible but I don’t really know what the point is, like this thread shows... you’re just giving a woman potential ammo to use against you.
[–]TheRabbitTunnel2 points3 points4 points 5 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
I guarantee that his wife was less attracted to him afterwards. Im not saying that anytime any man opens up, its immediate break up. Im saying that it decreases attraction. The fact that 1 man showed insecurity to his wife and theyre together doesnt mean much. She could be less attracted to him, but not enough to end the marriage.
[–]ChroniccLogicc0 points1 point2 points 5 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
Well they have kids and she didn’t want them to come from a broken home... so that’s probably it
Its like getting beat up by another guy in front of your girl. If your girl then says she doesn't mind that you got your ass kicked by another guy she is blatantly lying to you.
[–]diehard11941 point2 points3 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Women are biased towards connection and sharing which is what they use to solve problems with their female group. if a man shares and opens up too often he gets into his feminine side which is a huge turn off for a woman because she needs to move into her masculine to balance that.

Reminds of a bit I saw somewhere, cant remember where. If you feel a woman is getting too clingy etc and its getting too much then text her multiple times a day telling her how much you love them, how much they mean to you constantly call asking what shes upto and tell her youre thinking of her. Give it a week and shell be saying the same as what that chick you mentioned did.

Knew a guy that married a woman a few years older than him (he was 26, she was 29) and regretted it almost instantly. She was the "boss" and he felt like he was in jail and he became desperate.
His solution? He bought some porno mags and hid them under his bed. When she found them she was outraged because she considered it disrespectful to her and she asked for a divorce.
The fact that she thinks having a few ordinary porno mags under his bed is a divorceable offence....says a lot about her.
[–][deleted] 1 point2 points3 points 5 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
I think in situations like that the mags were just a pretense and she wanted to leave anyways. Seeing them meant she was losing control on him which was probably the only reason she was into the "relationship" (if you can call being whipped a relationship). She just wanted a beta slave and when dudes start preferring porn to their girlfriend they're on the track to breaking free of control.
[–]TheDevilsAdvokaat0 points1 point2 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
I think he was supposed to come begging to her not to divorce and when he didn't her pride made her go through with it...
Now he's happy and she's not. He feels free; no idea what she feels...but I think she was way too bossy to make a good wife anyway.
Not many people want to get a divorce after a year of marriage because they feel like they are "in a jail"...

[–]fryhldrew0 points1 point2 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Yes, she deserved it. It works exceptionally well with those girls who have something to share with you too. Usually I see that when a girl is close to ya, you start hearing personal things about her - even if you're just a friend. This can be used with grace when it's too much. You executed it perfectly. Though, just out of curiosity, does she recognise (or maybe even says hi) when you see her? Some girls get super upset and angry and try their utmost to get the person outta their life - usually trying to manipulate others to hate him too (I always go LMAO when I see it).
[–]Jugrnot80 points1 point2 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I also noticed this with getting sick.
Whenever she’s unwell, I feel compelled to wait on her essentially hand and foot. I’ll go buy something special for dinner that she feels like eating, any meds she might need, make the house clean and tidy.
When I’m (rarely) ill, it just seems like a massive inconvenience. Heaven forbid anyone has to deviate from their daily routine in spite of me.
I won’t get anything unless I ask for it, and so help me if I complain or it goes on for longer than a day, then all I get is the cold shoulder and “GO SEE A DOCTOR”, like that absolves any further responsibility.
So much for in sickness and in health.

Don't never ever open up to a woman, they give zero fucks about your feelings or emotions, I learned this the hard way a long time ago when I got emotional around my then GF and opening up to her about how much I missed my nephew who passed away in 2003 at only 4 years old.
Soon after she became about as dry personality wise as anybody could ever become, these broads have no sympathy. Besides, tools aren't supposed to have emotions and that's what we are to women.
Once you show one little crack they figure you're already broken and toss you out to get another.

Yeah, this and worse. Like pressuring a guy to open up about being cheated on or treated badly by another female and then hide cheating or abuse by saying, you're just paranoid, it's your ex that damaged you. Total gas lighting.
Although I've experienced this, is it really something every, or most or even a lot of women do? I've always thought this was more of a a narcissist or Machiavellianist.

Think there's any relationships where the man doesn't allow himself to be drawn into showing weakness?
[–]DaBiff18422027 points28 points29 points 5 years ago (13 children) | Copy Link
Of course. In my opinion a relationship where you can’t confide in your partner or open up to them isn’t a relationship at all. Once I came to that conclusion I either pump and dump or go monk mode depending on the quality of girl I’m dealing with
[–]DrFeelFantastic-1 points0 points1 point 5 years ago* (12 children) | Copy Link
Fair enough. Although, don't you think it's possible that you were just raised to think women were something they aren't? And that it's confronting the reality of them that's got you spun on relationships? I mean, what if you were raised to understand that a woman probably isn't going to still find you attractive after seeing you on your knees asking to help her build you up? And it was in a society that didn't put women on pedestals, treat men like shit in family courts, and all the problems we face today. That'd be a lot better, no?
[–]blississolitude27 points28 points29 points 5 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
It's not the disillusionment per se, it's the fact that once you are disillusioned, women really don't offer anything you want other than sex. The only things about them that were attractive were a fantasy so once you find out that the fantasy was an elaborate lie being told by society and yourself, it leaves you with a person you really don't want anything to do with. If there were no fantasy to begin with then there'd be no red-pill rage phase, but that wouldn't make women any more desirable.
[–]DrFeelFantastic7 points8 points9 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
I think the disillusionment does affect a lot of guys here a lot, red pill rage. What you're saying about once you see reality though, is largely true. Although, like we are under an assault our whole lives which gives us these delusions, so are women. I'm wondering the impact of stopping what's happening to men, and women.
[–]DaBiff1842200 points1 point2 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
You put it into words a little better then me.
[–]DaBiff18422010 points11 points12 points 5 years ago (8 children) | Copy Link
I’ve literally never expected a woman to do this lol. However, to have to bottle things in and have no type of emotional connection with a partner is not something I’m interested in. That’s a sexual relationship, so I do that now and pump and dump
[–]DrFeelFantastic5 points6 points7 points 5 years ago (7 children) | Copy Link
That, I think, having to bottle it in, is less about the realities of females, and more about the way in which male friendships are impeded from functioning correctly. In an ideal world, it'd be men you looked to for support, and men you supported in the same way.
Not that I'm saying you should want a relationship, this is MGTOW. I'm just pondering the reasons relationships are SO undesirable right now. Wondering what cons are inherent and what's the result of the popular culture.

One of my GFs ditched me because I have a chronic back injury and couldn't lift her huge heavy suitcase from the boot/trunk of my car on my own and needed her help.
Still drove 100 miles each way to pick her up and take her back to the airport (guess who paid for the parking and gas/petrol - yup, me. Ungrateful cow).
It's all bullshit frankly. Some women will say any crap that suits them.
My masculinity isn't measured by my ability to tote your ridiculously heavy and oversized suitcase from my car. Never mind the fact, that if I injure my back I can't work so would lose income. She was deluded and full of it.
I wish I could remember in future, I don't need to live up to someone else's standards. That's a hiding to nothing.

Had an ex pressure me into telling her the story of how I lost two good friends from my active duty days to suicide. Before I met her, twice a year on the days they died i would send flowers to their graves and go out and buy them a beer and drink it "with them". I finally told her the stories of their lives, how they were leading up to it and what it took out of me when they died
When I caught her cheating and left her, one of the things she said to me when I asked " how am I supposed to just get over this?" was "oh, and if you ever get sad just know theres always an answer. Go grab your rifle and join your friends".
So yeah. Keep your private shit private.

NEVER open up to a woman.
(a) You are giving her ammunition for the next time you have an argument.
(b) For a woman, familiarity breeds contempt. Once she knows your weaknesses - or even that you HAVE any - she will start to respect you less as a man. Indeed you may find she is no longer sexually attracted to you, or less attracted.
NEVER open up to a woman. It will make your relationship worse, not better.
[–]vivid_mind2 points3 points4 points 5 years ago* (0 children) | Copy Link

Strange, cuz when you try to tell a typical boy about problems the response is to man up. Or they don't want to hear about it cuz it's not manly. Bit of a double negative.
[–][deleted] 4 points5 points6 points 5 years ago* (2 children) | Copy Link
If you are a girl, no reason to tell you to man up. If you are a man, don't tell your probs to a boy. A man tho will always try to find a solution.
[–]flee_market6 points7 points8 points 5 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

[–]SuperWoosh_LG1 point2 points3 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Man, this hits home. I was a chick for four years, she was an anxious wreck, she had a personality disorder, and was just generally difficult. I did everything to help her, and detach her somewhat from her narcissistic mother; she genuinley was a different person; much stronger and infinitely more confident. After putting up with her shit for 4 years, and constantly treading on eggshells and weighing up every word I spoke, I too got anxiety, really bad, and chronic stress and depression.
So, she left me. After all I did to help her, she wouldn't even entertain the notion of attempting to help me. I learned an invaluable lesson there, and it's shaped me into who I am now. So...thanks, I guess, bitch?
[–]Anomalistic_Username1 point2 points3 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Yea just like my mother.
I confessed to her first that I hate my uni course and wanted to drop out and stay home.
We both told dad and he was chill about it and was happy to have me back home.
So i’m taking a break atm before transferring to IT.
I had a small stupid argument with my mom today and she told me that I’m a loser who has nothing to do in the house while everybody else (my high school classmates) is succeeding in life.
It hit me hard but it’s true. But wtf, thought you were supporting me rather than belittling me

a girl i met on a tinder equivalent used my history with my dad as a threat/blackmail so i can be with her, i blocked her and ignored completely. i never met her face to face, just phone calls / texts, this lasted one week until i offed her

I undersnd MGTOW points of view. Yet I fear it may rob some of you from experiencing life o the fullest. Rag away, as you will.
[–][deleted] 3 points4 points5 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
No. No you don't peasant. Begone.
[–]anasbb0 points1 point2 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

It's a shit test
[–]smfuel870 points1 point2 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
I never understoodthis shit.
My last gf fucking berated me frequently for "not opening up".
Sure as shit over one quasi argument, I do.
And of course as you expose yourself as weaker, she loses interest because now you appear weak.
"PFFfffff you're such a pussy"..... and leaves...
[–]bradtwo0 points1 point2 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
This is truer than most will believe.
[–]thatguyhanzel0 points1 point2 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
I cannot express how important this is
[–]fasterfind0 points1 point2 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
That's definitely a woman thing, and most of them will do it. They don't really have a moral or ethical code of conduct, 'just whatever'. NEVER trust a woman with anything she could potentially use against you, or which might not be flattering to yourself. But then again, why bother 'maintaining frame' like a red pill? We're not here to pick them up at MGTOW. We're just leaving the shit show behind, and it's absolutely beautiful.
It takes a while to really feel it, but it grows on you with a sense of liberation and new identity. Not giving a fuck is beautiful.

[–]scocasso0 points1 point2 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Yeah. I made myself a rule, never to ever tell any girlfriend anything personal about myself ever again. A woman's weapon is INFORMATION. They will casually ask you about your friends, work, thoughts, feelings, etc. and use it against you later on. They are searching for your weakness. They collect all kinds of information; as a man you just cannot foresee what they will use and how they will use it, so don't tell them anything. Just make stuff up, because if you don't say something, they'll never stop pestering you. All of my girlfriends also had a mental list of all of the things that I had done 'wrong' in their eyes. They totally forget about all of the nice, kind, considerate things -- only the negative things, and they remember every little thing from every single time you left your socks on the bathroom floor, to all the times you were late, to that time you missed an appointment... you name it, they remember. But they forget about all the times you picked them up from work, or gave them a back-rub when they were tired, or changed the oil on her car, or... whatever... I agree with others, that it's innate, they can't stop themselves. It's really sad, though, isn't it? It would be so nice if men and women were compatible, but we just aren't. We're like all other animals in this regard.... you only get together when the female is in heat. Once the fucking is done, go your separate ways. There's a reason most male animals don't hang out with the females.

I can personally attest that this is true. I opened up about the abuse I suffered as a child and about the ways that abuse still makes certain areas of my life difficult as an adult to my wife only to have her use it as ammunition against me in arguments later. Women are sociopaths, don't ever give them anything they can use against you because as soon as the opportunity to be petty arrives they will do so gleefully.
[–]nepomuk1670 points1 point2 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
My last serious gf always complained that I never told her stuff about me and my past etc. So one day I told her the reason for my negative outlook in life is my fathers mental illness and that 3 yrs ago he tried to kill himself and I was the one who sat beside his bed in the hospital while he recovered.
One week later she told me she isn't sure about "us" anymore. Broke up with her the next day. That was the last time I'll ever open up to a woman.

[–]TheRabbitTunnel1 point2 points3 points 5 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
No argument, huh? Just more ad hominem?
If mgtow is so wrong and pathetic, and youre so right, why cant you come up with a factual/logical argument for why mgtow is wrong? All I hear is crying.
[–]ripp102-3 points-2 points-1 points 5 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
To me you are a pathetic human being. You know why? Because you feel that you are Superior to us when in reality you are at the bottom of a pit and everything you say you'll get deeper and deeper. Enjoy being this way

Look at that, yet another criticism of mgtow with no actual argument, just childish namecalling and insults.
Could you change it up a bit and use something aside insults when you criticze mgtow? The ad hominem is getting really old and boring.

Did this sub ever have anything to do with being a man, or has it always been a bunch of resentful shrubs whining about "the unfathomable woman"?
