Years ago, a male friend of mine suggested meeting up to catch up. I was quite happy ~ was looking forward to unwind after a long day at work. I arrive and tell him a little about what's up with me and then ask how he's been: cue the floodgates opening. He's telling me all about his relationship problems with his gf (my friend, who I introduced him to) and how tough it's been. Didn't get a word in edgewise after that... he said he didn't know what to do and I was so drained from a long-ass day but listened + nodded when I had to, gave some advice, and ended up saying I'd talk to her. Ugh. 😒 Get a shrink, you bozos!!!!
