I wouldn't say its "hypocrisy" since no one suggests that men aren't shallow.

People of both sexes are, for the most part, shallow.

Shaming others for being "shallow" is an opportunistic move, usually made by someone angry that the shamed person doesn't want to fuck them.

If you are an undesirable minority, you will not be spared from the cruel comments of men who volunteer how much they would never date you because of your race. Why is that acceptable but not being attracted to a short man isn't?

Both things are acceptable. And both things are shallow.

The vast majority of people are shallow.

Its time we accept that.

Race and height are two objectively different things. But both are acceptable reasons to reject a sexual relationship. The height issue is really incel talking points.

Honestly the gender race issue is weird to me because all the statistics show men prefer women of their own ethnicity first and are open to all or most races of women. The real issue is placement of group in the list of preference.

I have said many times, I don't think men get upset about a woman's height preference. It is the hypocrisy of a girl being not all that desirable making the height demand. Something like only 16% of US men are 6'+ tall. The fact that it is seemingly ALWAYS 6'+ height threshold also calls into question the authenticity of the attraction. If it were a relative height difference that would be more understandable. For instance, I'm 5'9'' and I've had girls ask me my height and then tell me I was too short. So they can't even properly gauge it in person making it appear superficial on the level of bragging rights rather than genuine attraction.

Most short men understand the difference between height and weight preferences. That is why they use the hypocrisy of that comparison to show the unfairness of heightism.

Race preference is closer to height preference in the fact that it is genetic (unlike weight). Race, however, determines what a person's face will look like. That is considered the most important part of attraction by short men. I will add that some people's racial preferences are rooted in actual racism, and that should not be tolerated or accepted.

For me a hot woman is a hot woman. I do admit that I find myself more attracted to Caucasian and asian women. But there are baddies in all races.

But i am also aware that women are guilty of racial preference more so than men. The absolute plight of indian, middle eastern and asian men without women is staggering. Women by defult are more selective than men.

Here’s where the premise of your of your view is wrong...

The counter question to sum up the hypocrisy of your view would be this:

Is it wrong to to discriminate against a short man that doesn’t discriminate against women for their race or skin color? If your answer is “no”, you would literally displacing discrimination you experienced onto an innocent party. This is a classic example of projection and “guilt-shaming”. Both of these are abusive.

Both characteristics are unchangeable but men call their discrimination 'preference' and that is considered acceptable. When a woman has a 'preference' for taller men, so many commentators come out of the woodwork to say how she is a bad person because of it.

You’re conflating race with height. These are two entirely different things. Height is variable within each race. People have racial preferences for different reasons. Not all of them are superficial.

There is no difference but you can find thousands of examples on Reddit where men ridicule women they would never date because of their race. Many of those men are short.

There is a difference. No one is arguing that it’s okay to ridicule women because of their race. Similar to how you shouldn’t ridicule men based on their height.

Funnier still is how men keep using women's weight to compare to heightism. We aren't all fat. The comparison to weight is flawed but the comparison to race is not.

It would be hypocritical if and only if you catch the same individual people doing both.

If the subgroup doing one thing versus the subgroup doing the other thing are largely disjoint (i.e. if they have little to no intersection) then there are no hypocrites.

Personally I say both are acceptable. Both are definitely preferences. Both are definitely discrimination. None of both is an unlawful discrimination because there is no legal protection against discrimination in dating preferences of other people. So you can have the preferences you want. Oh yeah and the same goes for weight too.

The comparison between height and weight does stand just as valid as that between height and race, the only actual difference is that one can do something about weight but not about height or race. The fact that you aren't ALL fat is quite irrelevant. Whether it's a hypocrisy or not depends on finding people who individually do both sides. It makes no sense to accuse a group or subgroup of hypocrisy for logical inconsistency with something another subgroup does (unless both subgroups are largely identical)

First of all we are all the same race, human.

For me it is culture. Education level, economics, etc. If you have the same culture as me and I find you attractive there is no issue.

In fact most average men are so starved for affection they would jump at the chance to at least try.

I've never seen a man rejecting a woman based on race. Women are the ones that usually have "a type".

Also, now that I think about it, I've seen american women, specially the younger ones, take the racial issues as a kind of game to shame men or mock them in public. I was in US when all this trend of "team black guy" started to become popular among white girls, they were posting picks of ripped black guys talking about how sexy, masculine and good lovers they were compared to white guys and all that. Then, like it was some sort of response, black girls created the counter "team white guys". Same script. "Handsome, masculine white men deserve a black queen" and all that bullshit.

I rarely see a white guy saying "I would never date a black woman becouse they have big asses and tits". White men berating black women and black men refusing to date white women are usually a tiny minority of men with "racial conciousness" (which I respect) or some borderline racist motherfucker that hates other people just becouse they don't look like him.
