This literally just happened tonight at work. A colleague and I were talking about how I won’t get a gun, due to the link in gun ownership and domestic violence. He jokes “don’t make it domestic then” and I state that he isn’t taking my point seriously and that the conversation was over. He ignored me the rest of the shift. Maybe don’t joke about domestic violence to a women who went through it? Or at all?

Why are men like this?? I have encountered this at work, in relationships, friendships, etc. State a boundary and they're an instant angry child with "Fine, I'll never xxx again!" It's like they're all given a script. Nobody told you to never xxx again, bro, just be a damn adult and learn how to engage appropriately with people.
