RED FLAG ALERT! Never let a guy "playfully" insult you by calling you a bitch or a whore. I've had more than a few guys do this and it's veiled negging. It feels wrong, because it's wrong. (The show is Fleabag as well, and it's a must watch!)

I love the character of Fleabag but she has MAJOR pickmeisha energy. Then again her character development throughout the series does improve on that.

My ex and I would always playfully call each other names whilst playing board games, but I drew the line at "bitch" even in this playful way.

The reason for this was we once had a horrible fight (both drunk) where he told me I was a "fucking bitch" and then refused to apologize for it the next day because "that's how he felt at the time."

One time towards the end of our relationship he slipped up and accidentally called me a bitch when we were playing a game and I told him he knows I don't like that. He had the audacity to say "why is that? Did somebody call you a bitch before" - it was ancient history so I didn't bring it up I just said "yes they did and it really hurt me". Never ever ever accept a man calling you a bitch.

Agree with the sentiment but in this particular scenario in the show she is excited by the thought of being 'treated like a nasty little bitch' and disappointed when he said it was a joke. Just FYI for those who want to watch based on this.
