I think the answer to your question is yes, lower status males believe in it more. Natural alphas dont think about this shit, they just do, and succeed. Only lesser males seek for the reasons why they are constantly down and losing out.

Personally I think being aware of the Alpha/Beta dynamic on a micro level can really mess with a guys head as he starts to see everything as a threat. Certain men on places like askTRP are obsessed with not getting mogged.

Yes, it absolutely is addicting, consuming and exhausting. Yet it is 100% neccessary. Males must constantly be aware of every single aspect where other males outdo them, to be able to react appropriately.

I don’t think this is something that people specifically go searching for rather than stumble upon after going down a sort of rabbit hole of asking questions and looking for answers.

Nobody is guaranteed to have problem-free relationships or no problems in social settings. If they’re conscious enough and become curious enough, they’ll start asking questions and their questions might lead them to places like these and others that might describe their problems in greater detail along with other things that they might have experienced along the way.

Some people are overly optimistic and/or egotistical so they don’t think much about these types of things and simply adjust to their changing relationship environment where they might come across the same conclusions but without needing to see it being experienced by many others or confirmed through studies and research.

In the sense that only nerds really think this way, yeah, for sure it's a low status male's game. For an extreme minority, it works out, and they engineer a way to the top; think like Musk and Bezos types.

But overall though these dudes will stay at the bottom of the sexual barrel, and the natural chads will rise. I wouldn’t use words like low status, or alpha/beta to describe myself or other men here. I’d describe most as Introvert leaning, with high levels of curiosity. Some with serious body image issues, some intellectually focused, some with socialization issues with the opposite sex. I would also apply those descriptions to most women here. It takes a certain kind of personality to try and figure out how the opposite gender actually thinks and responds instead of just following dogma.

I’d also say that a vast majority of men here are what I like to call the “child abuse victims of feminism” which I break down by waves.

Second wave: covert contacts - work harder and provide for her and she will be happy. Aka the “please divorce rape me” generation.
Third wave: feminists that took all their failures, blamed men for them, and the son internalized this. Results? Women on a pedestal. Aka “just be yourself and you’ll find someone” because women are better than men when it comes to relationships and sexual selection.
Forth wave: men are trash, women are victims, don’t approach them without permission. Aka the the metoo generation. These guys growing up with this are going to be screwed when it comes to dating.

Status has little to do with this.

To even make that question shows that there exists levels of social dominance for you have already stated that you classify some as high or low status. Most people are certainly aware of it, but just dont care. If I'm with my bros i dont give a fuck about being the leader or alpha of the group, same is true for most people, theres no care for social dominance in a group outside of being disrespected.

I always like to think there is awareness of knowledge and there is the practice that it leads to.

I can use my awareness of biology and nutrition to sculpt a god-like build, or I can complain how bad my metabolism is whilst getting fat. If I am born with a god-like body, I will probably never care to seek this knowledge.

So no, I don’t believe most female supermodels or chads care less about feminism or red/black pill. Until it effects them directly.

My biggest concern is the black pill philosophy of ‘its over’ and there’s nothing you could ever have done to fix it. This is bad if you are pre-disposed to look for excuses. Every guy has felt like giving up at some point and this philosophy can easily suck you in and cause you to not achieve something you could have.

So basically what I’m saying is being aware of TRP (assuming it is approximating reality) is not inherently good or bad. It is knowledge. This people who want to succeed will use it to their advantage. Those people who want to give up will use it as an excuse.

I think it depends, some high status people are very aware of these social dominance theories as they can be useful as descriptive tools, but by no means are they knowledge. Knowledge implies applying those principles to lead a better life, or climb to the top.

For example, a low status male may study the psychological effects of being low-status in a given group, recognize his situation, and leave the group to forge other relationships, perhaps more beneficial. Or they can just choose to believe there is no hope left for them. A high status male can similarly use dominance theories in the sense of applying those principles to keep others as subordinates. Either way, these are just models, ways of conceptualizing one's situation and... with no action, there is no change.

I do think it's about choice, partly competence and the ability to offer something in return. No one can be socially high status if they have nothing to offer, and they can do so through the nature of their relationships with others. This is where competence comes in. If you cannot help the group in some way, why would keep you at the top? And... choice, one can choose different social partners and not be stuck in a situation where one is low status. Better be alone for a while than with no power at all.

Somewhat of a tangent, but I think the same thing applies to the idea that "women hate each other" and "women always see other women as competition". Frankly, going through life with that kind of mindset...or the mindset you're a "beta"...sounds exhausting as fuck. How are you ever supposed to just relax and have a normal day, if you constantly see others as threats? That's like some prime level of paranoia, my dudes.

People who are naturally socially successful have less of a reason to seek out information to improve

I rank quite high in the "social hierarchy" actually, I would say. 6.3", good looking, fit, well off and very smart. I'm also respected in diverse fields as my job, sports, social circle, artistic groups (I'm a skilled guitarrist, pianist and bass player) and even in some political-academic circles despite not being professional. Also I speak italian, portuguese and english fluidly (I'm argentinian so spanish is my main lenguage)... And I love bikes, beer, heavy metal and used to be a "barrabrava" when I was young.

So no, I'm not the prototype of the average "Beta" at all, and here I am.

As a fact, I came here because I had stumbled on a Jordan Peterson's video a psychologist friend of mine had recommended me (I've been higly intrested in psychology lately) and my search brought me here. I love to read about social dynamics, this place (among a few others I frecuent) is awesome.

As for your question, I think being aware of the social hierarchies is what brings people (like myself) here, it doesn't matter in which place of the hierarchy you are.

Could being aware of this mess with a man/woman head? Well, probably you could find a few cases, but I would like to believe truth enlight people. I am one of those christian guys that refuse to believe the apple that ruined the paradise contained knowledge you know...

Alpha/beta isn't really about social dominance the way that TRP describes it. It's more about having sexually attractive qualities versus provider qualities. The "sigma" who gets talked about by some Red Pillers is technically an alpha who doesn't need to act socially dominant to attract women, but he's still fundamentally an alpha, just an unconventional one.

Most TRP advice also isn't about becoming socially dominant within a group of men. It's about becoming more attractive to women and being able to attract them independently of one's provider traits.

So overall, I think that your post is a common misunderstanding of what the alpha/beta dichotomy actually means within TRP. Better looking men with stronger personalities who can attract more women do tend to be the leaders of social groups and of society, but this does not necessarily have to be the case, and it's not what is important to the men who subscribe to TRP compared to the primary goal of developing qualities that attract women.
