I saw a YouTube comment that said she married the guy (“Anthony”), so I went through her blog, and OMG it’s true! This woman also said in another video that she had been married before to, and I paraphrase, “the first guy she ever loved”. She literally said, “it was love at first sight, and I was 13, and I married him as soon as my parents would allow me, which was after law school.” Apparently, she had heavily bought into “the mythical first love”. Can I just say, big fucking yikes? Ok, I know there are those special couples that met in kindergarten and got married at 18 and then stayed married for 50 years, but I really want to know how her first marriage played out from dating to divorce. I can’t imagine hanging on to a crush my 13 year old self had for a minimum of 5 years and thinking, yup that’s the teenage boy I’m going to marry one day.

This woman is gonna learn the hard way years down the line when she realizes he never liked/loved her to begin with. Women should never chase a man like this, just block and delete the second he showed how emotionally unavailable he is. Desperation is never cute, and I’d be surprised if the guy still had respect for her at this point.

My relationship transformed as soon as I stopped accepting even a hint of mistreatment. Not even a tiny bit.

I’ve been with the same person for seven years, it’s been a real journey. I’ve realized that the only real way to ensure that you’re loved and respected by your partner is if you love and respect yourself so deeply that you simply can’t tolerate even a hint of disrespect. A man will not respect a woman who allows herself to be disrespected. If we know our value and are always willing to walk away, we are free. Free to stay in a relationship as long as it’s serving us, free to walk away when it doesn’t.

I feel terribly for this woman, she hasn’t seen the light yet. She will never feel happy and secure and truly loved with this man. You always have to be willing to walk away, no matter what.
