Hard to be any wing when you are MGTOW, because the left wing and right wing are all on the same bird heading to the same place. You need to opt out of the false choice of left and right and GYOW. Open borders, closed borders, what difference does it make when your being screwed over by the state and Jorge is given free shit from both sides. Sure the Right talks about want to close the border, but they never actually DO it. I just saw a Republican President, with a Republican House, Senate, Supreme Court and Right leaning police forces like border patrol/fbi/police etc. come up with 2 years of bullshit excuses for why ever illegal was not deported. Face it, they are never going to do it, if they were Trump would have done it in the first 9 months. Instead Trump has made every excuse for why he hasn't done it. And guess what, Trump is no different than Obama. Obama promised all these wonderful things to the left, pay off your house, rescue your home, healthcare for all, eliminate Oil and Gas tax loopholes, etc. They all just play games and work for their donors.

23M here, am MGTOW and a Bernie Sanders liberal. Voted for him in 2016 and will do so again this time. I wouldn’t call myself a socialist (I’m really just a Teddy Roosevelt Republican or an FDR Democrat), though I have lately developed increasing disdain for certain features of capitalism.

Never understood why MGTOW seems to go hand-in-hand with being right-wing. Sure, I hate the SJWs as much as the right wing does, but that’s not really what progressivism/leftism is about. To me being on the left is just about standing up for people who are oppressed, wanting everyone to be guaranteed a basic level of human dignity, and preventing the extremely powerful from fucking us all over.

You can walk and chew gum at the same time. You can believe all that stuff above and simultaneously be red-pilled, realizing that women are full of shit, romantically speaking, and that they have certain unfair privileges over men.

For that matter, I believe you can be simultaneously MGTOW and a feminist. I am one.

I don't like labels. Being able to easily box someone up and agree with or disregard their stance accordingly never sat well with me.

As such, I've never considered myself either left or right. Back when I still voted (system is broken, I won't prop it up) I was a 'whichever candidate is best' type.

I think you may be a cuck inside, leftist ideologies sound good on paper, when I was 14 years old I really liked socialism, I thought about it and I was like "wow it can really be achieved, we have all this technology and all this advances we can use to provide good quality of life for everyone", then socialism came to Venezuela, now I see why this ideology failed miserably.

MGTOW is self-independence, improvement of oneself, it's essentially men departing from a society that doesn't benefit them, leftist ideologies mostly focus on "societal benefit" which we know from our MGTOW point of views that it's translated as "Men build everything for women"

Let's see what we have in leftist ideologies:

High taxation to provide for the poor (mostly women, men shelters? fuck them right?)
Social programs to help single mothers
Guilty until found innocent
Women rights (Take a look at Spain with their super developed leftist women rights laws, where you are imprisoned JUST because a woman may feel insecure about you)
Daddy government taking care of everyone at the expenses of hard working men

I wonder, why none of these fuckers who love the leftist ideologies so much ever move to a socialist country such as Zimbabwe, Venezuela or North Korea...

The American political system is a total mess and not sure what to do about it. I've never been able to figure out where my views put me on the spectrum. I did the politicalcompass.org quiz and got Left Leaning Libertarian.

Some of my views include that it's OK to own a gun and if a woman wants an abortion, she should be allowed to get one. I also think we need to secure our borders and get people who are not in the country legally out of here. Some illegals have been deported multiple times and still get back in the country. It's totally ridiculous.

I think we need an education system that actually teaches students skills they need for the real world and encourages critical thinking and problem solving, not just doing what they are told. In most American high schools a kid may barely be able to read or write but if he can throw a football he's put on a pedestal, while smart kids are treated like dirt.

I do believe we need some sort of welfare system to help those who have fallen on hard times, but not the system in which people never work a day in their lives, keep having kids, etc., and passing it on generation to generation. I've worked in a welfare office and have seen some of that firsthand.

I also think we need environmental and safety regulations because I don't trust corporations to handle these things without oversight. What is best for huge corporations isn't necessarily what is best for the population in general.

Another big problem we have is overpopulation. I think that causes many problems we have and we need to curb population growth. I had a vasectomy many years ago and since I decided to never get married and stopped having relationships, I've done my part in that area.

This post has gotten a little long so I'll stop now. I'm not sure where I fit in, but I really don't care.

I wouldn't say I subscribe to this modern, radical leftism as to be honest, it's pretty retarded, but I definitely lean more to the left. If Jeremy Corbyn (the lefts representative over here) wasn't a joke, I'd vote for him, but he is and I ain't fooled by the conservatives attempts to engender themselves with the working class. They, like the right in America, are primarily interested in seeing businesses flourish, not the common man.

I wanted to be left but respect the right a lot. Can there be a middle ground?
I suppose I used to want to be in the left and "fight the power" but the USA is a fantastic country. Also, the left is too cancel culture and we as a generation need to absolutely ignore anyone offended by anything.

Pondering why I left the left (if I ever was in it, was the pandering to whiners.

If they can't handle a comedian or anything trivial (like being called a boy/girl) then they can put in headphones and crank up the mumble rapp. No more appeasing the frail, fragile butthurt offended and changing society around feelings. That has to be rectified.

Next thing I know is kids who get failing grades will be automatically passed b/c they didn't get an A like the others who study.

I'm egalitarian, which is why I condone feminism: on the one hand I accept that a group of people organises to fight for common political goals; there's nothing wrong with that, on the other hand I find this third/fourth wave feminism absolutely disgusting, because it was never egalitarian to begin with. Modern feminists don't want women to live like and and work like men; if women wanted to do all that they could, because they already have all the rights necessary to accomplish that. Feminists want women (or more accurately: feminists) to rule. You never hear feminists wanting women to be 50% of all electricians or construction workers; it's always about politicians and management positions in corporations. Even the damn feminist music is full of this shit; women listen to it and claim it's good because it's 'empowering and liberating' but when I listen to it I just hear psychopaths reciting their fantasies of power. You know we live in a clown word when changing the sexes would make men sound like absolute assholes. As long as there is these double standards in place we will not be able to progress as a society. Feminists infiltrated and completely took over the left and then they made it intellectually sterile. All the traditional leftists like communists and socialists are being shut-up over 'mansplaining' or 'disregarding the female point of view'. People who have decades of theoretical and practical work of experience get silenced by teenage missies whose only life achievement appears to be being born with a vagina. The fight for social justice became a fight over getting some psychopathic women to the top of the social pyramid. What's the point of that? There is none. The left needs a rerun; we need to discard feminism and go back to the egalitarian roots. I'm not a right-winger so I can't shift there and as long as feminists are in charge of the left I don't see a point of getting involved in any kind of political activity or even voting. I am left of center but now a days being center is being in a black hole of nothingness. Either you are far left or far right. I will say that there are extremes. SJWs faaaaar left and Alt-right faaaaar right and then there's everyone else. I am progressive on many things but conservative on certain policies. IMHO why pick one side? I am not a fan of the far left or far right. The "regressive left" and the "extreme right" both miss the mark in my book. The right unchecked drifts too far into theocratic territory and the left unchecked drifts too far into identity politics. Both extremes are (almost paradoxically) antidemocratic and illiberal; and favor the group way too much over the individual. I don't want the church or the mob dictating the behavior of freethinkers.

I'd like to consider myself a classical liberal. I think the best societies are just left of center. That is, left enough to have some compassion and wisdom but right enough so as to not lose all reason and pragmatism.

Many people lean left or right just by their upbringing. I think this is true with many men. In most cases it gets in your blood, and in such a case it is difficult for people to go in the other direction. I know much of the manosphere leans to the right, and their reasons for feeling that way does have considerable merit. Especially in terms of how the feminine initiatives have had consequences that have been a detriment to society. However, just because one policy may have merit or sound reasoning, doesn't mean they all do.

I saw an earlier post regarding MGTOW advocating for personal happiness (for men). Taking responsibility for your own happiness and your own life. As long as you are striving for that, I see nothing wrong with being on the left if your priorities involve concepts like environmental issues, worker protections, regulation meant to protect the public, etc.

Too many people want to make it an issue of black and white. If you're not for one policy, you're against all our policies. It would seem to me that part of taking individual responsibility is being able to think for yourself and draw your own conclusions. And I believe that Jordan Peterson even stated something to the effect "Always assume that the other person knows something that you do not." It called learning and we never to stop doing that if we want to be successful men.

In the past being a leftist was like cutting off your own feet for an adult male, although many did not realize it. Now, having had decades to counter the anti-male legal system etc, the right has failed at the same level as the left in correcting the same.

I am currently a libertarian and do not expect any real corrections in my lifetime. In fact, per a comment I saw yesterday, I expect a "Bachelor's Tax" soon as marriage rates are rapidly declining. Lol, we are tax mules.

But to me, most people can't truly reach happiness without the income to live comfortably. I'd rather have the option to not work if I don't want to. Or take a vacation. Or hell, get a nicer car. Rich people have that freedom. To me, money is freedom, and I think everyone should be free to go their own way. Unfortunately, this world runs on money so more equitable economic policies is the only way to go that I can see. If not, we just have rich men who can go their own way and poor guys (and girls) that will struggle for a lifetime to achieve some semblance of that freedom.

I’ll preface by saying I’m 18. Anyways, I spent most of my years in Hs being hardcore left (even saying I was a feminist at one point), and the the summer after senior year getting into nearing nazi beliefs due to being raped by a woman, and then I found mgtow. Over time, I don’t really care about politics anymore, they’re all just looking out for themselves, and my own beliefs have sort of mellowed out. I look back with Shame for what I used to support, on both ends of the spectrum. I think the most important thing is that, regardless of politics; we, all men, are equal. Skin color, political beliefs, gay or straight, it doesn’t matter. We are all just surviving, and if you voted for Trump and support his policies, good on you. On the same hand, if you support Sanders, good on you as well. Anyways, keep on keeping on guys :)

I sorta classify as left, for instance I am all-in for environmental protection, single-payer healthcare, social security, and abortion & gay rights, but on the other hand I think that guns and free speech are cool, that mass immigration must be stopped, that antifas are terrorists, and that transgenderism is a mental illness.

I prefer hanging out with the alt-right folks rather than the regressive left, because of their wholesome camaraderie, but I don't strongly identify with them. I hate the fact that both sides make abusive use of logical fallacies to try and get their point across.

While I disagree with some of Trump's policies, I enjoy his presidency because it makes for a good soap opera, and is helping identify toxic actors who contaminate the left all across the world.

besides that, i knew some non-western women, in my experience they were too emotional to help any rational decision, including a political struggle.

Am Canadian. Our "Right" is lefter than your left. While american values the individual, Canada values the COMMUNITY... and that single fact is the biggest difference between our two nations.

Policy is based on the greater good over individual freedoms... hence the universal healthcare, case based judicial rulings, easy immigration, heavily funded education, strongly regulated industry, among many other social initiatives.

We currently have an election coming in less than a month, and 3 of our 5 parties are Scandinavian socialism, while one is a lefter democrat, and one on par with your republicans (end immigration, remove gun laws, cut taxes, make racism legal again, etc).

Nothing is really "Radical Left" as you guys put it... just a bunch of policies that focus on common good rather than individualistic desire.
