Despite the fact that the vast majority of rape reports are real, mensrights acts like a significant number are fake.
https://archive.ph/qqkNI
This comment completely ignores the systemic misogyny of most rape reports being dismissed despite the vast, VAST majority being true:
“Women are always believed automatically with zero proof. If a woman wants to ruin your life all she has to do is say you raped her. That's it. Just a few words. It's pathetic and gross really. The way it should be is if you don't have evidence and proof then go fuck yourself.”
Defending the misogynistic hate subreddit linked to terrorism that is MGTOW:
“And people wonder why MGTOW exists.
The idea that some girl can just decide to accuse me and that everyone will believe her over me is terrifying.
It's literally a safety precaution at this point, one I have to take if I want to survive in a world where 'guilty until proven innocent' applies to all men.”
“Universities are the most misandric institutes out of the others, MRA groups should sue the shit out of them.”
Strawmanning feminism:
“The problem is that you can't do an investigation without feminists screaming "stop victim blaming!" at you.”
“Mgtow is looking better and better”
“Mgtow really ain’t that bad”
These guys are brainwashing kids into being afraid of women. Sick:
“Reading through this, as a 17 year old, I feel very disturbed. To the point where I wouldn't want to engage in sexual activities for the coming future. I have even contemplated the idea of recording admission of consent before I engage in anything. I just hope that people see these cases and come to their senses.”
Metoo is bad apparently:
“After all this metoo movement I understood one thing clearly, that being a man in this generation sucks. So if you want to have sex with someone get a legal consent before doing anything. It's much better to have sex with sex dolls than getting into shit like this. To be safe, just avoid women or girls as much as possible whether in professional life or personal life. Be with people you can trust 100%. Having sex with "friends" and strangers just gets into more trouble for sure.”
“The “men” who play the SJW game are the worst. Lower than the women”
Conspiracy theories:
“You guys are missing the bigger picture here. the bigger picture is that this is all part of population control. Instilling fear in sex with the opposite sex to reduce population rates. Notice there are very very rarely any stories of false accusation when it comes to same sex couples. We must educate ourselves and know what we are up against here; Billionaires with widespread influence. Their goal is to literally depopulate the world and use any method to do so.”
Seeing so many comments generalize women, defend MGTOW, and act like metoo is bad, you have to wonder if some people use “men’s rights” as a front for getting away with being sex offenders. Regardless, speeding false info that acts like many rape reports are fake despite the VAST majority being true is helping to protect and empower rapists. Mensrights is complicit in protecting rapists

The pinned comment by a mod (in the AHS thread) is hilarious.
"NO DEBATE ABOUT THE DEFINITION OF MISANDRY BECAUSE EXPERTS IN THEIR FIELDS HAVE ALREADY DEFINED WHAT IT IS! LISTEN TO THE EXPERTS! THEY'RE EXPERT EXPERTS WITH EXPERTISE!!!!11"
I think he means self-proclaimed experts.
Considering a feminist as an expert on sexism and misandry is about as intelligent as considering a Nazi as an expert on the problems posed by Judaism.

I've never been on that sub before but...
Most of the top comments were saying that this poster was off topic for the sub.
One of the top comments raised a valid point. That this sub has way too reactionary to feminism and has not enough pro-men content. Someone who cares about men's issues responded and said they subbed menslib instead. So... It didn't look misandrist, it looked like it also had people with nuanced critiques of things and not just blind hate.
[–]AJtheW 58 points59 points60 points (0 children) | Copy Link
Maybe a lot of posts are anti-feminist because the feminist movement is blatantly hateful towards men? (at the very least, on reddit and twitter)
Also, how is pointing out obvious hate and discrimination not a men's rights issue?
[–]BurningOrangeHeaven 38 points39 points40 points (1 child) | Copy Link
Looks like most top comments are removed for not agreeing with whatever the mods there find "appropriate", and ofcourse the one promoting that mens lib sub isn't.

One of the mods will follow you around Reddit to complain about you and just be nasty if you cite any trans study that is less than flattering, such as their high suicide rate, the complications to having them in the military, or their statistically high likelihood to be involved in sexual abuse.
[–]MBV-09-C 21 points22 points23 points (0 children) | Copy Link
I'm going to be blunt here, that comment section had 91 comments in it, and roughly 80% of them were removed by a mod too quickly for removeddit to even archive them. Any point you could possibly take away from that thread will in no way be considered a valid point because it's blatantly obvious the mod herself only allowed posts following the narrative of naysaying this sub.

In general I'm against subreddit bans. I'd say even things like FDS should stay up. Becauseas long as the speakers of vile ideologies can speak, we can evaluate them for what they really are.
But AHS? I can see an exception there. Because, to properly use the paradox of tolerance, their actions of tolerance against free speech and their actions of trying to get everything they disagree with banned are counter to a free speech society.
A sub like FDS may be highly misandrist. But, to my knowledge, they haven't tried getting other subs banned.

I watched a soldier lose his career over a rape accusation.
Girl got drunk, everyone was drunk that night except me (I have less than 10 drinks a year). I was madly in love at the time, this girl flashed use in the barracks. Offered me and a few others to sleep with her.
Another drunk soldier took her drunk ass up on the offer. No complaints until the girls she worked with in the DEFAC called her a Ho. Then she went and filed. I had to sign a sworn statement that she offered to sleep with me.
Finally they decided there wasn’t the evidence, because of her multiple offers, but when his re-enlistment came up, it was refused, we spent over a million on training this 18Bang Bang, only for him to never deploy or do anything because of the weakest of accusations.
She was rewarded with an offer to PCS to anywhere she wanted to go. Later found out she got pregnant and wanted out, she found out if she went to counseling and stuff she could get disability for trauma based on SHARP complaint. She took it, got 100%.
Don’t tell me they don’t reward fall accusations.

Weird considering how many feminists generalise men and defend women separating from men entirely, you would think one would see the irony in making such a statement before writing it. Either way the shaming technique used here, just goes to show that our work isn't done yet, and barely understood in this woman's case.
She actually had the audacity to extrapolate from men saying things like, " I feel very disturbed. To the point where I wouldn't want to engage in sexual activities for the coming future." and "It's much better to have sex with sex dolls than getting into shit like this. To be safe, just avoid women or girls as much as possible whether in professional life or personal life," that those men are somehow predatory.
She's created a narrative in her mind to explain away the issue so she can ignore and write off what these people are saying.

[–]connzerjeeass 10 points11 points12 points (0 children) | Copy Link
I'm not going to deny there is some, but not many. The vast majority of posts on here have to do with mens issues
[–]Stripes1974 1 point2 points3 points (1 child) | Copy Link
There’s a lot more going on with sub-Reddit’s of these types than the little bit you think you’re seeing.
Perhaps there are men in this subreddit who are wanting to minimize women’s issues. But there are plenty of very vocal “so-called” feminists, who are loudly denying that men have any issues- unless, of course, it’s because they’re trying to minimize women’s issues by claiming that they (men) have issues.
So, there are people on both sides of the aisle, so to speak, who are zealots and do bad things and shit on other folks. If you’re going to call out the bad men for being bad towards women, I will hope that you will also call out the bad women for being bad towards men.
Though, unfortunately, if you do that here on Reddit, you’ll be banned from the places you’re calling out the bad women, because they think that calling them out for their bad behavior is sexist and misogynistic. So, good luck with that....
[–]newmusicfridayss 0 points1 point2 points (0 children) | Copy Link
Yeah I would call out feminists for trying to minimize male issues but I would get banned for posting on their subs. I feel focusing on why the other movement’s problems are invalid or trying to make it a competition completely detracts from the goal of the movements. All you end up doing is alienating more people. Everybody has problems and everybody deserves to vent their frustration with society. Society is not fair to men or women. The feminism movement isn’t perfect and neither is the MRM. But it’s important to be able to admit the shortcomings of a movement in order to improve in the future.
[–]LettuceBeGrateful 6 points7 points8 points (3 children) | Copy Link
I agree that it shouldn't be a competition, but some men prrobably frame things that way because they've been raised with the notion that men are categorically privileged, men oppress women, men's issues aren't real, men have all the rights, etc. It's hard not to feel defensive and start framing things that way when it's how the issues have always been represented to you.
The thing is, nobody likes being silenced. We've created a lot of resentment by telling men that they're oppressors who need to sit down and shut up. It seems like people are upset that men are using their own tactics against them. We've normalized "women have it worse so STFU," but we flip out and equivocate as soon as a man says "men have it worse so STFU."
We won't get rid of the gender wars by silencing men, but by reforming and reframing the entire conversation.
Edit: Just banned from offmychest for participating in a "redpill/incel subreddit," which I don't do. Oh, did they mean this subreddit? The one that isn't redpill or incel?
Fucking idiots making my point for me.
[–]newmusicfridayss 1 point2 points3 points (2 children) | Copy Link
I’m not advocating to silence men. And for the record I would call out feminists for trying to minimize male issues but I would get banned for posting on their subs. I'm sorry, I should've made it clear that I wasn't accusing you of that! I was using your comment as a launching point for diagnosing the problem, not intending to accuse you specifically. Er, even if this is true, those two things aren't mutually exclusive.
Explaining something is NOT necessarily excusing, justifying, or defending it.
I'm a Jew. The rise in white supremacy freaks me out - those people literally want me dead. Yet I can also understand that the constant browbeating of white people (men in particular) has contributed to the problem. I'm not endorsing white supremacy, I'm pointing out cause and effect.
He says as he strawmans this sub.
It's telling when a post has to be so dumb to criticize the content here. He just so happened to avoid all the comments from men who posted stories to false accusations, or have been falsely accused themselves.

That sub looks like a feminist cult page, the woke/feminist cult is a slippery slope. The amount of self righteous behaviour displayed there is no different from Stalinist and Mao's China. The far left actually thinks that they are on a righteous path and all those who dare question must be silenced. We have seen communists do this before in Russia, China, Vietnam, Cuba and North Korea and the result have been murder of millions of people for daring to question their authority.

Just look at the Wikipedia entry for MGTOW. It's littered with assumptions, racism and biases:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Men_Going_Their_Own_Way
This is the first entry...
"Men Going Their Own Way (MGTOW /ˈmɪɡtaʊ/) is an anti-feminist, misogynistic, mostly online community advocating for men to separate themselves from women and from a society which they believe has been corrupted by feminism.[2] The community is a part of the manosphere, a collection of anti-feminist websites and online communities that also includes the men's rights movement, incels, and pickup artists.[3] "
