Long time lurker. From what I read online, many women, mostly feminists, take femininity as some kind of horrible nightmare. But most men admire masculinity (and those that pretend they don't secretly do). Our heroes are the action hero, the tough guy, the athlete, the suave James Bond, and so on. We would love to be the masculine hero. Don't women want to be feminine in a similar way? Don't women want to be the belle of the ball? The charming ingenue? So why is it saying to women that it is OK to be feminine such a shameful thing today? Do women all secretly desire to be feminine even though feminism has turned that into something shameful?
