What do you call the recovery when a male child is sexually abused by an adult woman?

Child support.

[–]gman892 411 points412 points413 points 6 years ago (41 children) | Copy Link

Honestly, I wouldnt be surprised if the court decided the 13yo boy had to pay actual child support.

[–]bufedad 388 points389 points390 points 6 years ago (28 children) | Copy Link

That's the joke. They do.

However, they are kind enough to not enforce it until you turn 18. At 18 you owe all the back child support with interest.

[–][deleted] 99 points100 points101 points 6 years ago (16 children) | Copy Link

thats the joke or is it serious that they do?

[–]bufedad 157 points158 points159 points 6 years ago (9 children) | Copy Link

It's serious that they do.

You're directing it in the wrong direction.

Not that I condone such action, but sometimes such action is called for.

Actually serious

Favorite example is the Hermesses vs Seyer case.

A female rapist can sue her male victim for child support if pregnancy occurs.

Is that true in the UK as well?

[–]angry_cabbie 54 points55 points56 points 6 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

The same UK that legally details rape as an action (only) a male commits? The same UK that wants to end prison for women? The same UK that recently had a bunch of rape accusations get voided because police were seemingly suppressing evidence that may have exonerated the accused?

I would be genuinely surprised if they did not charge male victims of statutory rape for child support, at this point.

[–]Hookton 8 points9 points10 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

[–]millsytime 6 points7 points8 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

The CMA does not back charge child support. I know this for a fact as I have just been through the process.

[–]SandwichTime09 12 points13 points14 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Which is just fucking insane. The rapists parental rights should be immediately terminated and the victim should be able to voluntarily terminate all rights and responsibilities.

DHS will show up at a mothers door like a bat out of hell if she's caught with weed, but if she rapes a child, somehow she's still a fit mother? Talk about a lack of priorities.

[–]Byroms 7 points8 points9 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

If I was the parents, I'd just get custody of the child. They have a good case for it. Could always raise it as the kids brother instead of the rape baby.

This is in the US, not the UK. Anyone know if UK victims can be charged for child support? [I've never heard of it, but you never know]

[+]CountCuriousness -34 points-33 points-32 points 6 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

The child born is free from guilt but still has needs, even if a parent is a rapist.

I find the major issue to be that the US has such a weak system that it has to rely on individuals like this, which has silly consequences like making rape victims pay child support.

[–]Therealweektor 25 points26 points27 points 6 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

This happened in the UK. The link literally says .co.uk I know it's really popular to jump on the "hate Americans" bandwagon, but please break the cycle and read before you post.

[+]mrimp13 -10 points-9 points-8 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

The article linked in the reply, references several U.S. cases. Because the U.S. has a history of making underage Male victims or rape pay child support. So while I agree let's not bash Americans out right. Maybe let's also take the context into consideration and say the U.S. system is shit on this one.

I still think it's bad that women can't be convicted of rape in the UK, being labeled a "Sexual abuser" sounds a lot less incriminating than a "child rapist"

[–]fogoticus 191 points192 points193 points 6 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

What is even more disgusting is how a woman gets defended. If you rape a kid, you are human scum, the lowest of the low.

Yet the UK considers it a minor issue if it's a woman but a blasphemous event if it's a man. Yeah. No double standard in the Uk, nope.

[–]3-10 45 points46 points47 points 6 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

That’s not quite true. It’s pretty minor if you are Muslim raping girls.

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rotherham_child_sexual_exploitation_scandal

[–]PuddleOfMush 28 points29 points30 points 6 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

This is true. I seem to recall an incident where a Muslim man in the UK got taken to court for raping a 13(?) year old and was effectively let off because the court declared that he didn't understand our cultural differences.

I wish I could find the info on that again but that's not the sort of thing I want in my search history, to be honest.

[–]Falandyszeus 8 points9 points10 points 6 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

So if I just don't know that something is illegal it's excusable?

That's... Interesting... As it turns out I know nothing about British laws whatsoever so everything must be permitted!

[–]amazinglyaloneracist 2 points3 points4 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I always was taught that ignorance of the law is not a defense. So how is this even a thing that can happen? Not that I doubt the veracity of the claim because as much as we hear about islamaphobia being common it is much more common for leniency in the courts and public opinion if defendents are Muslim.

The lack of awareness toward the "religion of peace" in the west is quite baffling considering the levels of destruction at their hands in Europe right now. Not to mention their homelands.

[–]IAmTotallyAJohnSmith 37 points38 points39 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

In China women can't even be prosecuted for raping a male above the age of 14.

[–]Byroms 5 points6 points7 points 6 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

[–]SharedRegime 2 points3 points4 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

[–]Loumier 4 points5 points6 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

[–]UnalignedRando 104 points105 points106 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Stop victim blaming. Anything less than believing every word out of the mouth of a woman as if it was scripture is problematic. /s

I put a /s but I remember a story where a judge ended up losing his job (and being the target of public outcry) for daring to ask a rape victim about the exact circumstances of the alleged crime.

depends on the people, if the boy is an athlete and the girl was not physically fit it is possible.

But it is unlikely in this situation looking at her.

[–]Crazy_Horse_Moon -1 points0 points1 point 6 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

You think that a 13 yo boy wanted to have sex like that?

[–]Masterchefpetyofficr 1 point2 points3 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

What the hell are you on

[+]TheGreatConst -7 points-6 points-5 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Factually most 13 years old boys are stronger than an average adult woman. And some of them are stronger than an average adult man. Some 13 years olds are 185 cm tall and have experience in martial arts, so you can't say for sure that they are weaker. Actually, in my country, the group of 13-14 years old boys recently raped and then killed a woman in her late thirties. And then was another case when 13 years old boy killed the adult man, alone. You shouldn't underestimate teens - they can kill and rape, it happens. Most gangs have young teenagers and it is even more dangerous to deal with them because in most countries law is too lenient to them and they aren't afraid of it.

In the news, it is said that she first have had sex with him three years ago when she was 17. It isn't clear if he was 13 years old back then and now is 16 years old, or if he was 10 years old back then. If the latter, then it is a different case altogether. If the former - in many countries/states it is legal for 17 years old to have sex with 13 years old, the same for 16 and 20 years olds.

[–]Mens_rights_matter2 113 points114 points115 points 6 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

They still get away with it here, seldom a time where they don’t.

[–]IAmTotallyAJohnSmith 19 points20 points21 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

The difference is women get way lesser sentences for the same crimes. People think men can't be raped because we need to be "aroused" to get an errection...which everyone knows is bullshit.

In the U.S., women can be charged for raping minors and/or men of any age, but are often handed lesser sentences.

It is the democrat liberal feminists fault. They want equality, but not equal fights or the sentencing gender gap to close.

There are even opinion pieces on CNN advocating that women shouldn't go to jail.

Guilty of sex with a child. You mean rape. Thats rape. Shes a pedophile. Call it like it is.

[–]Bjumseskat 13 points14 points15 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

She's not just a pedophile. Pedophiles don't always act on it. She's a child rapist.

[–]Hamburger-Queefs 7 points8 points9 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

She's a child-rapist and an ephebophile, not a pedophile.

[–]admirabulous 10 points11 points12 points 6 years ago (23 children) | Copy Link

She is a rapist alright but Pedophile is a term that describes a person sexually attracted to children before their puberty. She had sex with a minor, a criminal offense but not pathological if the kid has gone through his puberty.

[–]RxRobb 17 points18 points19 points 6 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

Your comment confuses me. She had sex with a minor. She’s a pedophile, he was 13...

[–]admirabulous 30 points31 points32 points 6 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

Pedophilia is psychological disorder characterized with sexual attraction towards prepubescent children. That’s mostly before the age of 10. After that kids start going through puberty and their body start showing sexual characteristics of their sex, they start looking like a man or a woman, girls start having their periods and can get pregnant, their genitalia gets bigger etc. After this it is not pathological, not sick to find them sexually attractive but it is socially unacceptable because of many reasons. Therefore it is illegal. What she did is illegal, not psychologically pathological

[–][deleted] 9 points10 points11 points 6 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Interesting. So is there another specific psychological term we can use in this instance and others like it?

[–]lumberjackadam 22 points23 points24 points 6 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

The technical term is ephebopile. The legal term is still child-rapist.

[–]Hamburger-Queefs 7 points8 points9 points 6 years ago* (0 children) | Copy Link

To add, a person can be a pedophile and/or an ephebophile and not be a child-rapist.

[+]rborens3 points 6 years ago* [recovered] (11 children) | Copy Link

She got off on fucking a kid, regardless if he technically went through or was in the process of going through puberty

[–]admirabulous 15 points16 points17 points 6 years ago (10 children) | Copy Link

It is a disgusting crime, yes. All I’m saying is pedophilia is much worse and problematic. There is a difference between raping a 13 year old and a 5 year old. First one is raping a kid, second one is raping a prepubertal kid and also a mental disease.

[–]volcanosaurus_texmex -4 points-3 points-2 points 6 years ago (9 children) | Copy Link

Ok a man rapes a 12 year old girl, thats paedophilic. Surely you agree?

[–]OmnipotentToot 8 points9 points10 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Depends. Has she gone through puberty? I'm not denying that it's a horrible thing to do, it just isn't a good idea to go around abusing the term pedophile.

[–]admirabulous 10 points11 points12 points 6 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

I agree that’s an evil crime. Should you classify it as pedophilia depends on if the girl had developed primary and secondary sexual characteristics. This is a matter scientific classification, People are using this psychological term wrongly.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pedophilia

[–]volcanosaurus_texmex -4 points-3 points-2 points 6 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

When the majority use it one way id argue that is its real definition, just like the word decimate. But i get what your saying.

[–]Hamburger-Queefs 1 point2 points3 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

The distinction between the real definition of decimation doesn't matter as much as the distinctions between child-rapist, pedophile, and ephebophile.

There are real-world consequences to mixing up the latter.

[–]Greg_W_Allan 1 point2 points3 points 6 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

Paedophiles are attracted to pre-pubescent kids. Hebephiles are attracted to adolescents. Ephebophiles are attracted to post-adolescents.

Paedophiles are attracted to pre-pubescent kids. Hebephiles are attracted to adolescents. Ephebophiles are attracted to post-adolescents.

Going by the way this story was reported, the boy seems to have been 10 when this happened and not 13, or am I missing something?

[–]ICEKAT 1 point2 points3 points 6 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

This is the issue with this report. Was he 13 or was he 10?

[–]HaykoKoryun 17 points18 points19 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I'm willing to bet he was 10, given how they mention her age now and make a point about her being 17 then, but then present his age in the present tense. Both in the BBC article and the Daily Mail.

Also, you would be mad to have a 17 year old babysit a 13 year old, because a 13 year old doesn't need babysitting in the first place.

I'd say the double-standard here is shocking, but it really isn't.

If male pedophiles--rightly--get crucified by the media, then why is it at all acceptable for female pedophiles to get handled with kid gloves by the media?

This woman is a pedophile rapist, period. It should not be legally allowable to force her victim to pay child support.

[–]MrSalvos 2 points3 points4 points 6 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

there are five cases of the sex which is what matters, three of the five cases I believe happened when she was seventeen, leaving two of them after. Most say it was twice a month, and one said it stopped when she turned eighteen, others said it continued. Most of the sources I don't trust completely there are quite a bit of contradicting statements.

Why exactly does it matter how old she was when she raped him? Is it ok to rape someone just because you happen to be 17?

[–]MrSalvos 0 points1 point2 points 6 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

It was considered consensual sex, when she was older would be considered statutory rape. consensual sex with minor.

[–]Happyasyougo76 0 points1 point2 points 6 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

So because the law says so ppl can just ignore the intent behind the action?

[–]MrSalvos 0 points1 point2 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

The intent behind it is sex with a thirteen-year-old boy. The boy agreed, therefore, it's not rape because both parties agreed.

Unless you're talking about statutory rape that is completely different, the law is to make sure no matter what, having sex with children is wrong. It works wonderfully in this situation.

Why the fuck do grown women want to have sex with 13 year olds? It's so disturbing. Just as disturbing as male pedophiles. If I ever have a son I'm gonna be so distrustful of adult women because of all these stories.

[–]Lethn 3 points4 points5 points 6 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

I have a personal conspiracy theory that many of them are women who get shunned by men so they target teenage boys they can easily manipulate into having sex or just outright raping them who don't know any better. I think the woman in this article is an exception to the rule in terms of age but I've noticed a disturbing trend where it's actually women around my age ( 25 - 29, I'm 29 ) and they all seem to be these utter stereotypes of the dissatisfied house wife who's a teacher or just a teacher that can't get laid.

It's a good question you ask and one that hasn't been really investigated properly. Mainly because it's such a taboo subject to even discuss openly so of course professionals aren't even going to touch it. Not with the anti-male mobs roaming about looking to beat up anyone that talks about this or governments and the media that actively cover this shit up and spread their propaganda.

Why not leave with a massive fight? How about you spread knowledge to the boys and men so that they know how to deal with girls/women?

Recommend books like “The Manipulated Man” and “The Polygamous Sex” by Esther Vilar, for example.

For those of us who know the truth it is crucial that we stay alive and do something about this mess we are in.

Ok, actually reading the article:

The boy accused Cordice, of Windsor, of first having sex with him in January 2017, when she was 17.

During the trial, the court heard the boy was proven to be the baby's father after his mother contacted social services.

Leah Cordice had denied having sex with the 13-year-old boy and claimed she was raped

So what I'm gathering is, when asked, she said she didn't have sex with the boy, and the baby was from when she was raped, not necessarily that the boy raped her.

In a police interview, he said the pair did not use protection, and that the sex had continued after she turned 18.

So, they kept having sex even after she turned into an adult, not that this exonerates a 17 year old having sex with 13 year old but maybe less damning than what I read from the title.

[–]supermarioplush220 2 points3 points4 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

[–]matrixislife 2 points3 points4 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Following the verdict, a judge told the court that if Cordice was a male 'custody would be almost inevitable'.
.....
Judge Clarke told her: 'I need to know more about you and your present circumstances. You should understand that I have to be considering an immediate custodial sentence.'
....
'To be sexist about this, if Leah was a young man of 17 years and the complainant was a 13-year-old girl, the sentence would be almost inevitable as far as custody is concerned.

Comments by the judge from the DM coverage.

Society enables this shit frequently, when it comes to women, people just won't admit they're capable of rape and look at just look at the retard that commented below and how the article frequently uses the word 'sex' rather than rape. I hope articles like this keep getting attention and they get upvoted because I want people to understand that this is a big issue for MRAs and that people are full of shit when they attack MRAs for only caring about 'trivial' issues.

I think a good way to protect our sons from predatory women like this one is to not only teach them boundaries ( no, no places) but also warn them about the early signs of grooming (lingering touches, excessive hugging, Etc.)

I also have explain to my brother who is 12 that these people aren't always creepy old men sometimes they could be girls older than him in his school or women like teachers, neighbors, and coaches.
