Boycott the company at least this day, if not for ever. Send them a complaint stating that their gender discrimination policy is the reason.

Alternatively, to get the discount saying you identify as a woman.

if its a public body then they will be breaking the law since publicy funded bodies are not permitted to break any laws involving gender.

also theaten to sue them for gender discrimination..

ask them if they plan to have a surcharge day based on some of the following characteristics.. religion, colour, sexual orientation, political orientation, disability etc.

the answer is usually no because they would break any number of laws, they just everyone to be jolly good chaps and go along with it.

They are selling tickets for 21% less to women because "on average women earn 21% less than men". Then one of the questions in their FAQ is whether women earn the same as men in that transport company, and the reply is "yes, men and women are paid the same for the doing the same job". What happened to only caring about averages?

Intentionally waste the time of women passengers and scream and howl if they don't give you the seat you want (even if they're currently occupying it, ideally, make the women stand for their extra money). If they whine about it, point to aspects of the wage gap that mean men have less ability to take things like flextime, paternity leave, and so on, and work longer hours in less attractive conditions.

Then, strike up a conversation on the bus about how fucking privileged women are and shout them down if they try and complain.

THEN it will be an actual lesson in the wage gap. But ofcourse they're not interested in that, only in their narrow and selfish understanding of the situation.

The dumbest part about this is it actually does nothing to solve the problem because cost is on an individual level, not a group level. Men don’t collectively bring their money together and pay for things. Each person pays for themselves.

This is how you know feminists don’t understand economics.

If a man making six figures pays for the ticket, each ticket is not much. If a man makes $30k per year, each ticket is a lot. The second man doesn’t benefit from the first man making more money than him. The $30k man has more in common with the $30k woman than the six figure man.

This also means a woman making six figures pays less than the man making $30k. Equality!!

Class earning gap is much bigger than the Gender earnings gap. Theyre only doing it for kudos and votes as anyone that has studied the facts and has half a brain nose fully well the gap is almost totally down to choices freely made by men and women and practically nothing to do with sexism. Women who have never married and not had children between the ages of 18 and 30 living in metropolitan areas, earn roughly 8% more than men. So are men under the age of 30 going to get a discount? I thought not.

given the number of comments I did have a pretty cruel suggestion that might be considered a little tasteless.

create a badge with the male gender symbol on it ( painted in yellow) and then wear in on the front of your clothing.

there will be comparisons with the yellow star of David which I think will be a good thing.

then if anyone makes a complaint about you wearing such a badge , its disgusting, its inappropriate etc

you reply with something like

"yes , the act of singling out a group of people on a specific diverse characteristic is disgusting isn't it.??

the last time Germans did that, it didn't end well did it?"

Buy a ticket for women, have them explain the reasoning behind this to you, and when they demand you buy a second ticket, go, "I was unaware that you had a special exemption that allowed you for one day to discriminate on the basis of gender. Can I take my cellphone out and record our conversation, because I am sure the office for gender equality will be interrested in my specific case. "
