King Camp Gillette himself was the actual face of toxic masculinity. Using whiles and trickery to get people to buy his disposable blades, switching from straight razor (single purchase) to a never ending spending spree just to keep your face shaven. Then all the other beta boys followed along and now its widespread across multiple industries. Fuck gillette. So there I was, putting on my rape shoes, and practicing my sexual harassment pickup lines this morning. I just got done cyberbullying my coworkers. It was time to shave, I yelled at my wife to smile because I demand it, while pinching her butt right after she told me she didn't consent to it. Putting on the shaving cream and thinking about how I can get my son into a fight at the next BBQ, I replaced the worn Gillette brand Mach3 and began to chant "boys will be boys" as I started to shave. Then suddenly my daughter burst into the bathroom holding her phone. As I began to mansplain to her why she isn't smart enough to know my shaving time is my time she showed me the new Gillette ad. I realized how my every view and behavior I've ever held dear was wrong. I'm calling in sick at the toxic masculinity factory today and registering Democrat. One part that really surprised me was the scene where the two young boys were wrestling each other...how is that toxic masculinity? Wrestling? An Olympic sport? Are they going to start saying that MMA & boxing is toxic masculinity? Then football? Then hockey? If you feel like boycotting Gillette, remember they merged with procter and gamble.

I find it rich that procter and gamble also own old spice, arguably one of the most masculine brands out there. A brand that knows its audience incredibly well.

This is a front-line issue for any sort of mens movement. Woman have the freedom to be whatever they want, but men have to fit this mold to be accepted now and I hate it.

And I say all this as probably the opposite of a masculine man. I have very close friends who are the apitomy of the male stereotype on the outside, but they're so much more than that.

As a father to a young boy I feel like I'm just waiting until this intersecular feminist bullshit makes his way into his life. His school, or some part of him growing up. I'm going to be very concerned and have a very loud voice when it does.

I feel like most of this crap is online and doesnt leak its way into real life, but it only takes one person to try it. Push their silly little agenda and force a policy change.

Do not say "I'll let it slide this time", give them no ground. You can not stand idle when so much is at stake. If men are put into a mold where they arent allowed to be who they are it becomes a problem.

Being male is no longer celebrated anywhere. But the majority of woman want a man who is insanely masculine. These check and balances alone are the reasons these silly little people will receive blowback.

Being feminine is praised, being masculine is bad.

I read one of the threads on here on the bus before watching the video. I have no idea where the outrage is coming from.

There are some men who behave badly, and this is encouraging us to call them out. It contains positive role models to look up to who do this, and are men. It shows men deciding what they will not put up with and acting against it.

What is the problem here? Why does this deserve hatred and a boycott of the entire company? Is it just anger in general about metoo?

Portraying men as potential peacekeepers for a better world for everyone* you men with daughters love the trope of "knowing what boys want" and shit, you already feed into the narrative that men are shit.
