The reporter at the end set me off a bit. Like if this was a male abuser caught in a lie would you expect a reporter to say "It's important to keep in mind that in addition to being a NFL player he's an army reservist and an Iraq war vet." You don't get a lot of highlighting of a person's positive attributes when they hit a woman.

Also, shouldn't the mugshot, not her being all cutesy on the field, be the thumbnail for this video?

It's nice to see mainstream media covering this story as it challenges the narrative that men are not victims of domestic violence.

If this issue gets more coverage, perhaps it might lead to men getting more support as victims of domestic violence.

And that right there tells you the state of things. They were ready to arrest him on the spot without any evidence what-so-ever. Then, after being presented video it still took them two minutes of watching the video before deciding "Eh, yeah we should probably arrest her."

Women who actually do get the shit beaten out of them suffer because its becoming more obvious how many try to cheat the system.

And we dont even need to get started on how many men are sitting behind bars because some crazy bitch made up a bunch of lies.

There needs to be severe punishment for making false claims. Especially for a case this obvious. And ESPECIALLY for a woman that represents our nation through the military.

No excuses here not to put her in prison. She needs to learn a lesson.

I was in an abusive relationship like this. It got to the point where I seeked help, went to inpatient treatment/therapy(the program was sorta more like an addiction based rehab, but I knew it would be a safe place where she would not be able to contact me and I would have support. Before I left I just told her my parents made me do it because of depression as not to cause conflict, although I think she knows deep down why I went) for a few months, and relocated to another state, just got out of treatment about a month ago. It's hard when it's your word against hers, I had pictures of my black eyes on my phone and she deleted them while I was sleeping. I am just glad I had the opportunity to get help.

i knew a guy who's wife was fucking psycho. she went off one night and attacked him. then she called the cops and claimed he beat her up. the cops showed up and saw she didn't have a hair out of place, but he was all scratched the hell. she got to spend the night in jail.

She's a typical woman. She will lie and cheat to get her way. Why is anyone surprised at this? When you raise a female child to believe she is "special" because she's female, you get this kind of neurosis. I am not even a tiny bit surprised that the spoiled bitch lied. Im glad that she turned out to be the aggressor but im sad that it had to take a video to prove it. If ahe had taken the phone and broke it he would be in jail and for the rest of his life as an aggressor and violent offender.
