Thank god I'm in my 30s. I can actually feel my sex drive not be so overpowering a warm breeze makes me hard. I finally can understand and agree that "men are the prize not women". Why? I definitely would not say society is gynocentric (from feminists being blamed for men making light of the violence male rape victims go through, to male stem students trying to make "harder" academia hostile to female students and then getting angry that female-centered stem programs are created to encourage more female stem programs; to government officials trying to ban abortions even in cases of rape, despite it being known that pregnancy is the time when most domestic violence and homicide against mothers occur; to women who murder in self defense being more likely to be jailed and receive higher sentences than their abusers; to partners of "passport bros" ended up being left behind/divorced if not murdered) but I will say that this idea that women are prizes is rooted in evolution.

If a group of people are left to populate an island, too many women dying would result in too few children being born, leading to not only a shallow gene pool, but an unsustainable and slow population growth, and an increased chance of the population dying out in just a few generations. If too many men die, there would still be enough of us to impregnate the women; it would still result in a shallow gene pool, but not as badly as in the previous scenario.

Or, it could be because redpillers and blackpillers have set this idea in motion. Over 90% of posts on this subreddit are men bitching about not getting some ass, and now there's a "male loneliness epidemic" that, apparently and of course, women have to fix by providing even more emotional support and lowering their standards. The same dudes bitching about being lonely are threatening that women who don't settle down will end up being lonely and fat cat ladies looking for a beta wageslave to take care of her six illegitimate children. Now we're mad that women have taken this threat and flipped it on its head? Hell, even a majority of MGTOW are loudly "going their own way" so they can get the attention of women and try to make women feel bad about not lowering themselves to MGTOWs' level to suck these dudes' cocks. Women and girls get told this as well - "How do you expect to get a husband if you don't know how to cook?"; "No man's going to want you if you don't lose/gain a few pounds"; "You're not going to find a decent guy hanging out in bars and bowling alleys"; etc. All things my mom or dad have said to me at some point. They finally gave up after I told them countless times that I don't give a shit whether or not I'm in a relationship, so I have no interest in altering myself or faking who I am out of desperation. Take it or leave it - I am what I am. Attempts to convince someone that they need to change or risk ending up alone have no effect or meaning when that person doesn't fear flying solo. What is there to fear anyway? I don't get why "getting" a man/woman is so important - you're the only person whom you're guaranteed to spend the rest of your life with, so cultivate that relationship and give no fucks about the rest.

What universe is this where humans really think in terms of "getting" other humans as "prizes"? I'm picturing a carnival where you win some game and are handed a goldfish in a plastic bag. Extending that level of transactional commodification to other humans is a clear indicator to just give up, for a while at least. Pay for "companionship" as needed, human or AI, and it's basically a win-win - base needs are met, and there's one less turd floating around the dating pool.

Perhaps in an alternate universe, humans thrive on being considered 'prizes' to be 'gotten', but in real-life modern society, there is little likelihood of a favorable outcome based upon that mentality. It's impossible to be "successful" when one views other people as just things (trophies, prizes, etc.) - it's painfully obvious when there's no substance, no connection, just some arrogant fool with an internal conflict raging between his desire to 'win' and his seething contempt for the game and the prizes. This will almost always result in a loss so it's a waste of time and energy to even bother.
