M(48) / Married 20 years / 4 minor children / STBX is the petitioner (filed November 2023)

I busted my ass to get all of my interrogatory responses and documents together and in on time. Obviously, I filed a counter Motion for production of Discovery.

It was due 35 days ago. Last week my attorney sent opposing counsel a letter, via email, on the Firm's letterhead asking when we could expect to receive their responses and documents. Still nothing.

Now, I know that I could ask my attorney to file a Motion to Compel, but what good would that really do? They will be told they need to produce the Discovery. Okay, but they already know this. Would there be any actual consequences? Seems like the only meaningful outcome would be that it would just cost me more money (Attorney drafting the Motion, sending the Motion, corresponding with opposing counseling regarding the Motion, and then possibly going to Court if the documents aren't provided before the Court date).

On the flip side, I can say with almost absolute certainty that if it were me whose discovery was 35 days past due that my STBX attorney would be going nuclear on me.

For those who aren't aware of my situation, my STBX is being bankrolled by her $50 million dollar family member. So, it makes no difference to her how many Motions, conversations with opposing counsel, direct phone calls and/or emails they exchange, etc.

I, on the only hand, have a pretty limited amount of money available to pay for legal fees (I'm currently around $12,000 already).

I know it would be nothing more than speculation, but any idea why I still haven't received the Discovery 35 days past the due date? All I can think of is:
A) My STBX hasn't given it to her attorney (This would be surprising to me because she is a very task-oriented, regimented, list-making/crossing off, etc. individual. She also does what she is told by people she views as being in a position of authority. You'll just have to trust me that this would be extremely unlike her).

B) My STBX's attorney hasn't given it to us (Can the attorney even do this? If so, what would be the reason?)

At the end of the day, the only thing this is doing is dragging things out ... not necessarily the end of the world. It doesn't make sense, though. My STBX is the one that wanted this divorce. Why purposefully drag it out. May main irritation in this is that it's holding up me getting the equity from our family home, which I need in order to get my own place (I'm currently living with my parents) and be able to have visits with my kids (We have been doing the "nesting" thing, which is getting tiring on my end).

I know a lot of guys here seem to think going scorched earth is the way to go. That's really not my style. Plus, again, considering our totally different financial situations, I really don't want to start a war that I won't be able to finish.
