My stbxw uses her phone constantly. It had always been a hot button issue between us and i think a major reason she initiated the upcoming divorce.

I have gone through my grieving process and now, i just want to move on and never talk to her again. I can't easily do that because we have 2 daughters.

I cannot emphasize how much she's on her phone. My 9yo has complained to me how mom will tell her to warm up breakfast for her and her little sister while "mom" stays in bed playing on her phone. Once i made it out of the grieving process, we have been living almost separate lives, except we live with each other. I go out and invite my daughters with me to random adventures, while she stays home and does her thing.

Today my oldest told me she misses the old days where we would all hang out. It bummed me out. I can make a better effort to invite mom to some of the things i do with the girls, but i don't want to. I'm so much happier when it's just me and my daughters. When mom goes with us, she's just on her phone and only randomly paying attention.

If she's there and on her phone, i will have to bite my tongue to not make a smartass comment. I'm not sure i can stop myself.

To me Family>All, so I'm willing to try for my daughter but im not sure its a good idea.

Should i try to make more of an effort for my daughters at the expense of my mental health? I'm imagining this only backfiring on me because I can't easily fake a smile with someone i don't even want to look at

Tldr: Do I invite my stbxw in things I plan for me and the kids? I will be annoyed and not have as much fun with her there.
