Money vs validation. Truth is that without an interview no one can really say for certain what her psych issues are. I would step back and ask the question, why do you care? Do you gain anything from this? If just curious or for fun then have at it. I know my STBX has some psych issues, lots of BPD traits but I doubt crosses over into the disease. But the thing is I don't care, I just want the divorce to be done (in my case, sell the house and work out final number for support). Then move on with my life. She's BPD, she bipolar, she's' nuts, she's been cheating, she does drugs, ... don't know / don't care anymore. Not my monkey, not my circus.

If its anything other than self gratification that you have accurately identified her personality, you're wasting money.

Courts dont care. They already know you dont like each other. That's why you're both here.

I had a shrink that I went to see and she gave me her opinion on my ex from what I told her. She said it sounded like borderline personality disorder. It wasn’t until later that I knew how right she was

Very little clinical or objective value in evaluating someone’s personality based purely off documentation. You’ll probably receive much the same results from crowdsourcing the “diagnosis” on this subreddits

I guess it can validate your opinion and it may give you some insight into how to approach her with issues. Otherwise probably not going to change anything.

Sounds like a lot of energy to put in to someone you should be moving on from.

Maybe use that time, money and energy on yourself instead of her. In a positive, foreword looking way, rather that focussing on her as a part of your past.

First therapist I talked to I rambled for 45mins basically venting what led up to my feelings. She said "Yeah, that sounds toxic." "What're you going to do for yourself to move on" I never even followed up after that call. She was right. There wasn't a deeper understanding of it. I was unhappy, treated disrespectfully and it was toxic. Took me months of self reflection to stop finding ways it was my fault. It wasn't my fault. Letting go is hard. It can also be quite simple if you look at the person you used to love as just another being on their own journey through life. You can have all the answers to your questions but will it really change how you feel?

Have you seen a psychologist to evaluate yourself? Usually the relationship will come up and you'll get some sort of off the cuff dx for the stbx.

This kinda works both ways. She could hire one and accuse you. How would that look in court? They wouldn’t even consider it for sure unless there are numerous and concrete convictions, CPS Investigations, police reports, psychiatric holds etc. There is an episode on the proper person YT channel where his BM tried to commit in front of the child and was admitted for it. Cops were called. CPS investigated. What happened? The court didn’t think it was important enough for her medical records to be released. TPP contended and that was the last I heard. Mental conditions don’t preclude you from being a parent. However, a watchful eye is all you need to prove that it affects the child. It could hurt you in the long run to prematurely accuse her of things, as she will just hide things better. In conclusion, I really recommend you take an observational role here.

Not my fight, but I'd say to just save your money. It won't mean much in the end. Just an uneducated opinion if you want it. Obviously we all need different things to move on, and nobody wants to feel like they just gave up on something without just cause.

With that, I'm also curious what would have been found with my ex.
