During your marriage. I wouldn't bring it up (check with your attorney) as its a not a guarantee.

My income increased after my divorce because I spent a lot more time working and was rewarded for it.

When we ran the numbers we had to provide two months of paystubs and last years tax return. It's pretty much stayed that way.

Depends on when they run the numbers, you'll likely be demanded to produce a pay stub or stubs during the settlement and that will be the basis for the calculations. So if you get the promotion before the settlement the CS will likely be pegged to that number.

On the brightside though CS is typically around 22% of your income so if you're getting a raise you still keep 78% of your raise.

File quickly, the more money you make between now and when you file, the more goes to her.
Child support is based on your earnings at the time of judgment and can change when there's an income change of 15% or every 3 years, whichever is sooner.
Depending on location, some courts will make you pay a %age of earnings (e.g. in NY it's 25% of pre-tax earnings for 2 kids) even if you make a lot because they believe the cost of raising kids is higher. Others will stick to the %age of a max amount (e.g. in NY I think it's a %age of 137k of joint income). Basically, look at the formulas in your state.
No matter what you earn, you are a man, you will get screwed by the court in 95%+ of cases. Get it settled, and do it quickly. In my experience, the anger of the divorce process and court system grows with time and makes it increasingly harder to settle.

Finalize the divorce before the promotion is finalized (or at least shows up in your check). This will put you in a better position to ENSURE that the money is spent on your children.

Child support is frequently based on what you are currently earning, but I've never heard of it based on future earning potential. It can often be recalculated, in my case, the Friend of the Court automatically recalculates child support every three years, but either party can request it if it has been over two years since the last calculation. You can also file a motion with the court for a recalculation at any time, such as when a spouse receives a promotion and you feel child support should be immediately adjusted as a result. When the FoC recalculates they send out a request for documentation on income, and you are legally required to supply the documentation within the specified time frame as it holds the same authority as a court order.

You have an attorney though, this is a location specific question that you really should get the answer from them.

usually based on gross income earned yearly. if your income goes up your support goes up based on the child support tables and number of kids you have
