Child support is based on a persons income. As they make more, child support can increase as well. There reasonably comes a time when an amount paid far exceeds what is needed to raise a child - especially if ex-couples are splitting the cost of medical and extracurricular activities already.

Given this statement, has anyone requested receipts to shown that the amount paid for child support is actually being used for child support?

I’ve never seen this discussed. Curious if it’s a thing that’s not talked about or something that courts would never entertain.
