This is probably as much venting as looking for advice, but what the hell do any of us have better to do?

Obviously, will consult my attorney, but starting the divorce process with my wife. Would have been married five years this September. No children. Both make around the same income, only real asset is the home (located in Ga). The mortgage is in my name, the deed has both our names. In heated moments, she has said she plans to buy me out of the house. I don't know if that is true, but she does have a wealthy father who could co-sign for her, I don't see how she could afford the re-financed mortgage, but whatever, if I get my share of the equity my ass is gone. I would predict the house goes up for sale.

I know this is a much different story for the one who had kiddos, but how did y'all move out? Did you start packing up your shit as soon as the filing started? I won't be able to pay mortgage and rent, so there will definitely be some time where I don't have a place of my own. I guess what I am asking is, how long from starting this divorce process until I can expect to have to be out of the house? How long until I receive my share of the equity? What did y'all who left the house do? Crash at family's? Find an apartment? I just don't even know where to begin, like should I start boxing the essentials? God the fights over who gets what that will happen. Theres alot thats not worth fighting for, but then again, there is alot that is! Any advice is appreciated!
