How did things end up? I’m in the same boat only a few weeks into her dodging though. It’s brutal man.

You should be able to do alternative service by putting a notice in the local newspaper. Check with your family court.

If you and the process server can't find a way to serve her, hire another process server. She must leave the house at some point for something, does she?

You moved out of your own house? Did you consult a lawyer 1st? Like someone said, have an officer accompany you and have her served at home.

Idk if they have like over here in Texas but you can have the deputy sheriff to server her. She’d be more inclined to open the door to a police officer.

Give her time, tell the server to wait a couple weeks and try to catch her when she comes home from something.. divorce is not a fast process and even if you manage to get her served sooner than later it prob won’t speed up your case.. in the grand scale of things a month or two isn’t that long.. it’s a scary thing if you’re new to being sued to know some stranger is looking for you…. She probably just doesn’t understand she’s not in trouble or anything… Have the server stop trying for a few weeks, she’ll get comfortable, don’t mention anything to her about it, she’ll think you’ve stopped trying and let her guard down and it will be a lot easier to catch her

You should be able to let the process server in, yes. With her having not even been served yet she won't have been granted Exclusive Use and Occupancy so you're entitled to be there and let in whoever you want.

My wife served me papers by walking in with the process server after she had moved out for about six weeks. I don’t think there’s anything your wife can do about it, but I’m not a lawyer.

My first marriage (I know!) I had to use the sheriff and her mother gotten threatened with arrest cause she kept obstructing the Sherrifs office. It came down to I will be back in three days she will be here to receive the papers or you will be going to jail. Day later she shows up at the sheriffs office to get served. That one ended up being default by a few hours. Paid a courier to be there when the doors open. Her response came by certified mail later that day. I got my default.

It's been so long I have forgotten the actual terms. But depending on the state there are various actions you can take in these situations. One in particular the non-respondent can get completely screwed over, as the petitioner pretty much "decides" the settlement without their input. If it seems fair, it can be approved without their consent and the divorce granted (without their signature).

I think a similar process is available in no-fault states when people refuse to sign as well... it's pretty much simply granted by a judge again without their attendance etc.

I would look into your local laws / talk to your attorney. At this point I would for sure take a higher level of legal action.

My next step is to cut the utilities off or contact her family? I have a name/business of her therapist, I thought about contacting them? Can I go to the house with the process server and unlock the door and walk in? I mean it is my house.

Don't shut off the utilities or contact associates of hers. It can be used against you.

In general, utilities such as electricity, gas, water, and phone service are considered essential services, and it may be illegal to shut them off in order to gain an advantage in a divorce or separation.

Show up before the process server with the vague promise of reconciliation. When the server shows up, let them in. 🤷‍♀️
