Got lucky.

Just waiting for the court to sign off on our agreement.

Long story short; wife inherited a large sum, became disenchanted over the course of a year, never communicated this, hooked up with a new guy and left a month later.

Outcome: Got money towards the debt I accrued supporting our family, equal split of child tax credit (stepdaughter, no custody issues) and tax refund this year, and no alimony (I make a little over 3x what she does).

Prenuptial agreement with the next one for sure. Despite knowing she was facing an at-fault outcome, I was so fearful of getting nothing and paying alimony it was a huge cloud over my life these last few months. The relief I felt Tuesday was, and is, immeasurable.
