We are both late 40s with kids who are 9 & 6. We both make about the same.

After two years of separation where I had moved out, I told her it’s time to move on. She’s made zero attempt at reconciliation. No “I miss you”.

Instead she continued her self indulgence in spending every waking moment she could judging a dying sport for free. 11/14 weekends this summer, for instance. There were many weekends other ppl had to watch my kids because it was “her” time with them but it was more important to go judge again and again.

I lived in a dead bedroom. There was zero intimacy. Seeing someone be so selfish and never try at home just fed me up.

Despite telling her that it was time, etc, she has crashed out. Instead of discussing, I get a letter from an attorney that she retained. She’s now listing the home next week. She’s saying I ruined her life.

I guess this is what happens when one realizes they have to pay out a lot in retirement to a husband (shoe on other foot). She owes me a ton in our home’s equity too. I’m sure she didn’t realize how expensive this can be on a woman in a no-fault, joint property state.

Just need the strength right now. The kids are possibly going to be ripped from their amazing school in the middle of the year. That’s just awful. I’m guessing she needs to disrupt their lives so she can curry favor/sympathy with someone out there.
