I’ll keep my story short.

I am 47. She’s the same age. We have two young kids who are 8 & 5.

We both work full time. She was a figure skating coach when we met. That all lead to her becoming a judge for the sport.

With two young kids, she’d still go off 15+ full weekends per year to judge events all over the country. While the events paid for the airfare/mileage, hotel and food, it is NOT a paid role. It’s all volunteer. So while I’m managing kids, she puts in 4-5 hours and gets to hang out with friends after. She’d fly out Friday and come back Sunday. Again, 15+ times per year. Also, that didn’t include any local event or other day she’d be called on to go review other skaters’ programs.

I told her how exhausted I was. I told her how lonely I was. There was little to no physicality in our relationship either. She was dead set to do her own thing and it didn’t matter how hard I begged for her to stop.

Date nights were a rarity. I recall hearing “Oh, you wanted your parts touched.” on our anniversary.

So now I’m alone. We separated.

Recently, she “ditched” the kids with her 72 year old mom so she could go to an event with her new boyfriend (she met him at an event, shocking, right!). Her mom won’t say a word and will continue to enable her daughter….

I’m tired of being alone. I’m tired of scrapping for anyone’s energy. It’s hard not to think about wanting to be dead and that there’s nothing to fight for (besides those two boys).

Dating sucks. No one wants a 47 year old with two young kids. She’s cute so it’s easy for her to throw her (girl parts) around to find a dude who will simp on her.

20 years. Man.
