The truth. But you can slim down the details. You’re going to get through this! But you need to work hard on your self and work. Make daily and weekly goals. Even little ones. Even small tasks. Health, finances, etc. Achieving and hitting the gym will help your mental state and sleep.

Don't tell them anything. You have that option. At the very least you can just say "Unfortunately, she couldn't make it. She had to work, or is seeing friends, or....."

Your personal life is private, even from your family. You can tell them later, when you feel comfortable with it.

Hate to assume this. But if you’ve told family members I’m pretty sure most people know by now. People love to gossip about juicy stuff like this. Especially women. Unless your parents are really private.

I told my close circle but everyone knew and acted like they didn’t know which was more annoying. I just went through this. It’s not too bad. Just say things didn’t work out between us. I wish her the best. Don’t go on a rant or talk about how bad she is. I tried that and it makes you look worse for marrying her and putting up with nonsense.

Tough one. Any way your parents could break the news and make it crystal clear you don't want to talk about it? (if you don't, that is). If you do, then it doesn't matter how you bring it up.

Tell your mum and let her sort it out. That is what I did and she was very discrete and was one less thing I had to worry about.

Well here’s an update I went to the family shindig, I think my parents told everyone because all of them were very quiet towards me just said hi that’s about it. Some acted standoffish around me but it’s whatever now I know who’s on my side and who’s not
