Haha someone posted a reddit post on here (I think it was an AITA but not sure) about this guy complaining he secured this coffee date with a girl he met on OLD ("we we're going to have coffee and then I was gonna take her to this field") and she backed out last minute (or so he said) and told him she'd rather go on a proper date and have sushi or something. He was appalled she had the audacity to expect him to pay for a whole sushi dish ("sushi is like 60 dollars!") while he'd never seen her and didn't understand why the coffee+field could not suffice.

I'll explain the joke for the crying lurkers.
It's not a nasty dig at cheap men.
It's a morbid joke about how often women get raped and murdered on isolated first dates.
That after thousands of years of this shit happening, dudes are still wilfully ignorant regarding our concerns, and suggest dumb shit like this, then cry when they get ghosted and blocked.
Stop asking how many roommates we have and if we live alone. You're not invited over.
Stop suggesting we uber ourselves to your place. Not happening.
Stop being creepy, entitled, pushy and IGNORANT.
