This is going to age me, but I am a big Duran Duran fan. In the 80s they were consistently dismissed as drivel because their fan base was largely female (due to every member being a stone cold fox), and objectively speaking, they are INCREDIBLE musicians and their music has definitely stood the test of time. But, hey, its girl music, how good could it be?

Astrology! I personally think it’s bullshit, but men hate it because women like it en masse. To me, astrology is like any other spirituality or religion. It isn’t rooted in scientific fact but people believe in it because it makes them feel safe, it gives them a compass in life and makes them feel like like they have a purpose.

People who practice astrology aren’t hurting me so I’m pretty much indifferent towards them but men want to tear down astrology and the women who observe it every chance they get.

It’s also the fact that more men than women are narcissist. They don’t have their own deep passions which aren’t about controlling/managing other people , so it hurts them to see genuine simple happiness.

And when women like something that they think they have some kind of manly dibs on (sports, games) they get soooo pissed off. Their entire personality is so damn fragile that a woman just liking the same shit as them is enough to turn them off the thing that they like.

Really liked this game but now women like it as well and that enrages me so much I cannot play it anymore but I will continuously cry about how women ruined it for me, I bet they don't even like it, name the creator and the illustrator and both of their siblings lmaoooo see I knew you were lying about it there's no way women can like a game that requires so much logik and skillz but I'm still slightly worried that you do actually like it so I just won't play it ever again because if I like something that women like it must mean I'm a faggot.

Yes!! It’s horrible. I completely agree with the commenter who mentioned gatekeeping as well. i’ve noticed that that’s happened to me when a man seems to think that I have a more advanced level of intelligence than he was expecting in a certain area. but he still feels the need to demean me wherever I may lack knowledge.
