I’m getting SO close to it. Yes and I didn’t know there was a term for it!

I knew that I was into women as a teenager but never said anything until age 18. Between het relationships I tried to date women but avoided it because I got picked to be a unicorn when I didn’t want that (pornsick men and their pressured women) — no thanks. Friends would ask me to kiss them to experiment or show off for a guy—hell no. An amazing first date with a woman followed by an amazing second led to her asking casually if we could road trip to see her male ex and maybe have some fun. She knew that I was a “baby bi” (new to dating women) and still proposed that.

But I know there are many HV bisexual women too. I was lucky to meet one but the timing was off.

Yes, yes, yes. Dating women has been life-changing for me. There are always going to be people that treat you well and people that don't, but I've experienced so much joy in just having my needs and wants fulfilled without asking/begging someone for affection. I got so tired of trying to teach men how to treat me the way I know I should be treated, and found a woman I didn't have to ask.

I've considered it but I've got so little experience with that side of myself that I feel awkward and a teenager again. When I do look at that side of the apps its couples looking for bi women, lesbians who exclusively want lesbians, or bicurious women who only want to hookup (a lot of those being married women). Then that leaves me with the same small handful of people I am not interested in, or are far too young for me.

I feel defeated either gender I'm looking at.

I've definitely considered it. I've had sexual relationships with women, but never romantic ones. It scares me tbh, but I've given it more thought ever since I've been back on Bumble: I swipe right on like, 1/30 men on there, and probably 8/10 women on there lmao, and a lot of the men I match with end up being trash. IK bumble is silly and superficial, but women genuinely come across as more interesting, beautiful and CLEAN to me on there.

Am seriously considering it at this point! I’m definitely not looking to date anyone for quite a while anyway but.. I feel my preference towards women has definitely increased, the more awful my relationships with men have been.

Yup. The only think truly stopping me is access. I’d need to relocate to an area where I can make new friends and acquaintances who happen to be queer. The city I live in doesn’t even have a lesbian bar, just a few ones for gay men. And using OLD will be overrun with bicurious women looking for a threesome partner. I’ve been tricked before, and that was enough for me.

I didn’t know there was a term for it either! I don’t know. Maybe it will happen but not out of my own choice, simply because I never find an HVM and end up falling in love with a woman. I’m definitely going to try to put more effort into dating women now. But since I was doing male dating so wrong I assume I was also doing female dating wrong (I used to be on a female dating app) and it’s daunting to think of having to learn a whole other set of rules ...

Definitely thinking about it. I don’t wanna be problematic and make lesbians uncomfortable I would need to do research on doing this in a just, non icky way.

I’ve always wondered if a bit of misogyny in myself is prioritizing men in dating and just saying, “Oh it’s numbers. There’s more of them.” Yet I’ve never pursued women as hard as men.

Unfortunately I’m very heteromantic so even though I can have mind blowing sex with women, I tend to naturally gravitate towards men both sexually and romantically. 😩
