I keep thinking that I’m just OLD, you know? I work at a university and I see these really amazing young women with so much potential with these man boys. Afraid to even ask if they are in a relationship. Living with a guy and still only at the FWB stage. One girl crying in my office because her parents came to visit and realized her unemployed loser boyfriend - NOT EVEN A FELLOW STUDENT! - was living in her off campus apartment with her and not paying rent - her parents were (rightly so) pissed that they paying for this guy’s home. And she was considering dropping out of school so they could be together. Girls thinking that anything other than sitting on his couch watching him game is being high maintenance. It goes on.

Oh man, every day I am reminded of how much I hate the current state of society. Something went incredibly wrong, need to go back in time and stop it from ever happening.

I feel this weird need to apologize to you as a 33 year old woman. I know this was the case like ten years ago when I was where you are, and as a former CoolGirl I definitely fed into it in a lot of ways.

We've got a long way to go collectively, but I'd like to think it's just a matter of ladies finding this sub, of making a lot of little decisions not to waste time on scrotes, block automatically, and laugh at any man that doesn't respect our worth.

I can not take it anymore. all my girl friends have polyamorous relationships, free love is the rule here between my pick-me friends and my college group. I cannot speak of serious monogamous relationships with anyone IRL! Pd: and even previous generations are often ruined by abuse and mistreatment.

I try not to. Most of these women are gaslit af and genuinely think being mommy will win their man's respect. I think in ten years when they hit 35 and are still living with man babies the penny will drop and a whole bunch of angry, useless dudes will be single again. Live in hope ladies.

I really think it's because women of this generation were the first to kind of be taught "Girl Power" when we were young, but the boys have been raised exactly like their fathers and grandfather's before them. There's a huge dissonance between the sexes and what they have been raised to expect from the other, and men think they can bully us back into those older mindsets instead of, idk, embracing change and bettering themselves.

I'm almost 40 and I've witnessed the shift over the past couple decades. It sucks and I hate it both for me and my son. He's going to grow up in a world where all sorts of harmful and downright disgusting perversions are praised as normal and healthy. I have no idea what to do about it either aside from just doing my best to teach him how to treat girls with respect and closely monitoring his internet access once he starts going online. I don't know how I'll cope if he gets into the furry community or anything like that.

I completely agree. Honestly, it makes me not want to even try to filter out the good people, because everyone just turns out to be partially ‘brainwashed’ in their own way.

I'm in my early 30s, and completely see it. I attribute the shift (which is not to say that women have ever had it great, but the low key resentment so many young guys have against women now is real, and alarming) to several things, but a major one is the wide availability of free, hardcore porn. I'm not a conservative in any sense (not socially or politically) or even a traditionalist, but you used to have to pay for porn and find a place under your bed to hide it. In between OLD and porn addictions, it's no wonder guys lack the impetus to actually pursue a girl---they already feel like they've accomplished something just by negging some Pickme on Tindr...and then if she surprises him with a pic of her tits, it's even more confusing.
