Don’t get roped into talking about the break-up. There are no good intentions. Either he wants to “win” the break-up or he wants to coax you into a situationship with less boundaries. He is not your counselor. He is not here to process with you.

These dudes never want to talk things through. In my experience, it’s been like your second warning: exes never wanted to discuss “why things ended,” but “why won’t you get back together with me?!”

I go no contact after saying things aren’t what I want/don’t feel a connection. They can go gripe with their friends the way I do with mine. No amount of talking to him will change my mind, so why bother?

Once the relationship is over, bury the fuck out of it! The only reason I have contact with my ex husband is because we have kids. He broke up with her. There’s nothing for him to discuss, he already told her why he’s breaking up with her, he just wants to verbally abuse her. What sort of “closure” could some loser want from a 6 month relationship that HE ended?

Gosh why didn’t he cOmMuNiCaTe prior to them breaking up? If he were a woman, Reddit would be bashing him for not bringing up his grievances during the relationship.

It takes a really special kind of douche to dump a woman and then try to force her to read the critique he wrote of her and their relationship.

It seems to me like her found her self-esteem was higher than he thought it should be so he’s trying to knock her down a peg or two.

I’m not even convinced he really wanted to break up with her given he’s so eager for her to hear what he doesn’t like about her. Seems to me like he wanted her to have a meltdown and then jump through hoops proving her worth to him so he could get them into a cycle where she was constantly seeking his approval and he would maintain control by denying her.

You can tell he wasn’t deeply frustrated with her either because he asked for her permission to send his critique. If he was very frustrated or genuinely angry with her, he wouldn’t ask for permission to vent, he’d have just written his piece with no expectation of a response and sent it.

Rather, he wanted her to consent to him abusing her by agreeing to receive this communication.

Normal men who genuinely want to end things don’t want to talk too much when they break up with a woman. In my experience, they try to keep the break-up conversation short, to the point, and they don’t want to give you any hope you’ll get back together. They’re also respectful and will try not to upset you too much. They don’t want to see any crying and they don’t want drama.

If a guy causes breakup drama, well you know he’s up to something emotionally manipulative and the best thing to do is just block, delete and ghost before he manages to get under your skin.

Post his stuff back to him then block. There is nothing to discuss and you could be risking your safety meeting up with him.
