I’ve been following the FDS for about a year now and I can’t believe how much it has changed my life.

Aside from my personal leveling up (got a huge promotion doubling my salary, finally got Invisalign, went to therapy and worked on my past trauma) I wanted to share some dating success with you ladies who have inspired me so much.

After dating around for about a year and ruthlessly following FDS I met a really kind man. He does all sorts of wonderful things for me but I wanted to highlight something he did that exemplifies the dating mantra I live by: if he wanted to, he would.

I have just sold my home and had an offer accepted on a new home. The man I’m dating lives a few hours away and he surprised me by driving up after work with cake because he said “this is a huge moment for you and I’m so proud of you and couldn’t imagine not being here today to celebrate you.” I saw him for about an hour before he had to drive back home for work the next day. He drove a total of six hours to eat cake with me.

I’ve had terrible relationships in the past and was a huge pick me. Even on my FDS dating journey I met a lot of jerks and it got discouraging for me. I’m still ruthlessly vetting my new guy but he is constantly surprising me with how kind he is, how much he does for me unprompted, and how well he treats me.

I wanted to thank this amazing community and I also just wanted to give you ladies some hope that there are some good guys still out there! Don’t ever settle. :)
