I'm going to tell her. It's just so awkward.

We're not friends exactly, we've just met a few times for group tennis. All names are fake.

Abby (girlfriend) is dating Alex (boyfriend). Alex is Bob's friend. Bob is my friend, probably my male best friend and only male friend.

I trust Bob. We've know each other since high school. He's a good guy. He's helped me move several times. He stopped talking to my ex when I was cheated on, even though they were best friends since the 5th grade. Bob has a girlfriend and at least from the outside he looks like a HVM (treats her all the time, drives her places, is respectful of her religion even when he doesn't share it, and he basically dotes on her). While Bob and I are friends we also have an appropriate relationship for male and female friends who are seeing other people - nothing scandalous, almost only group stuff, sharing funny memes, and occasionally venting to each other about family issues (we've know each other 15 years so the backstory is easy).

Anyway. Alex and Bob are fairly close - they game together. Alex Bob Abby myself plus 2 others occasionally get together at local public parks for tennis matches. We're horrible but we try anyway.

I've literally met Abby on 3 occasions. That's it. I've known Alex for 5 years through Bob mostly.

So I feel it's kind of safe to say that the tennis group is over when I tell Abby.

I just don't know how to tell her. I've never told someone this before.

I haven't even texted her once before ever.

My plan is to consult with Bob because he knows more about their relationship. To be honest I haven't seen them in 4 weeks so who knows they may have broken up and I wouldn't even know.

So I'm going to call Bob and ask how Alex and Abby are doing. Then I'm going to tell him what I saw - Alex's profile. Pretty bare. But it's unmistakably his face. And it said "recently active" at the bottom.

I took a screenshot and swiped yes to see if he'll respond. I didn't have my real info on Tinder - I was just browsing and made a silly troll account just to browse. So who knows he might even match with me and confirm that he's trying to cheat definitively.

After I tell Bob this I'll tell him that I'm going to tell her and ask if there is anything I should know about their relationship before contacting her.

Any advice queens?

Update. I called Bob and told him what I saw. He told me they had broken up. I messaged her asking about tennis and she confirmed.
