Every time I dated a guy younger than me was a complete waste of time. I agree they have more stamina sexually, but their worldview is very narrow and I don't have the patience to play the teacher in the relationship. No matter how mature they think they are, there are some things that come with experience. And purposely seeking a big age difference speaks to me, that they should be seeking therapist instead to work on childhood traumas. Sometimes women allow to be taken advantage of financially, because they don't think they can offer anything else at a certain age. Edit: it is a trend imo, met two guys just last week, that said they prefer older women and one of them is currently married to an older woman too.

My bf was closer in age to his ex gf's daughter than his gf in his 20s.

Sounds like he is looking for a mommy. Or doesnt want to do the work to establish his own life and goals. He wants to hook himself to a woman and ride it out.

Its a good thing he doesnt see you as a resource to use. The put downs about women your age is just some bullshit to make you feel bad, so you dont investigate his lazy ass.

That's my take on it.

I've been dating men who said the same. As I hit 30, I realized they were men who only thought in porn categories. Too much "milf" porn that they watched.

Also, they think they can shit all over a 30 + woman's life by being 100% irresponsible.

Oh, wait, they're 100% irresponsible to 18 year olds too...and shit all over them too... no surprise with LVM

so they just changed the porn tag from barely legal to mature. If I were 60, they'd put me in the granny category.

so NVM divide women in 2 categories:

-women they'd fuck

-women they wouldn't fuck

There's no in-between with porn sick men.

I don’t know but it still comes down to the question why would she want you. I’ve had younger men pursue me (I’m late thirties and get a lot of men in their late 20s sniffing around). Besides being able to keep up with me fitness wise I don’t see the appeal. Our interests are different. Our perspectives are different. I don’t want to feel like the “hip, cool mom” when I’m around his group.

But I wouldn’t hate on a woman for going for it. I mean you have to catch those men before they hit their wall 😜

My guess is that this is baggage he hasn’t fully processed. You’d be surprised the amount of men (some women too) who were sexually abused or taken advantage of in their youth and spin it as their fetish/ type/ prowess ; instead of acknowledging how sketchy the situation actually was.

Sounds like he was prey to an older women predator, who might have micro managed his time?

I have no clue what he thinks he could gain from telling this. Unless you have kids or something, and he’s trying to say he’s not turned off by that in some roundabout way...This sounds like the epitome of “Weird flex, but ok. “.

I think it's kind of weird. My ex dated a 28 year old woman who was his TA immediately after graduating at 22. I always felt like the power balance was off and that she saw him as this younger prize, it seemed kind of gross to me. He later told me that he felt the relationship was abusive which I can see. 6 years doesn't seem like that much but I do think age gap relationships like that rob you of a lot of socialization and doing things with your peers since it seems like the young person pretty much always joins the older persons social group. I'm not sure if it was a red flag on him as much as that she seemed like an older pick me who manipulated someone younger than her.

My ex said he was into "older women."

He lost his virginity at 13 to a 15 or 16 year old woman, which I think is vaguely predatory and likely a traumatic experience. He also had maternal enmeshment issues.
