I do understand the knee-jerk desire to post nudes/thirst traps after seeing your partner consuming such content. Both for validation that you are still desirable and to point out the hypocrisy of men who feel entitled to access to other women’s bodies while having sole access to their partner’s body.

I get it. But it is sad. It is sad that women are conditioned to care about male desire. It is sad that more women don’t just walk away from this disrespect. It would be healthier in the long run. But it’s hard, I know.

I’ll never understand women allowing this. I knew a woman whose husband started following Facebook pages of half naked women for all the world to see, family and friends. And not just 1-2, like a good handful of pages. Guy was in his 30s. But everyone would say “he’s a man that’s what they do he’s just looking“. To me it’s disrespectful.

Wow, very sad. I don't personally post any photos of myself on any social media. So I am a bit biased.

But to make your partner jealous rather than to enforce your own boundaries and value is just so sad.

If she's happy posting the pics, that's one thing. But I bet she isn't. The attention she's getting from other men isn't the attention she really wants and deserves. She deserves love and attention from her partner and is choosing to throw away her values instead of loving herself more.

Recently left a guy for this behavior. I talked to him about how it made me feel insecure and sad. He kept doing it. I had a gut feeling so I looked. He said I was toxic, manipulative, and unhealthy because I looked. It’s so toxic. I found myself wanting to be more provocative just to prove to myself that I could be like the women he desired. There's an easy way to screen out LVM like this. Seeing as you are no longer able to look at other's likes and comments on instagram, just check who he follows instead.
