Yes! Hugh Dancy’s eyes and curls are so gorgeous. I too would be tempted to quote poetry to him and compare him to Saint Sebastian or a Botticelli painting, I can’t really blame Hannibal.

Mads is gorgeous too, I’m not sure how he doesn’t look absolutely ridiculous in some of those suits but he really can pull it off. Those cheekbones, my God. His portrayal of Hannibal is the only one that makes sense why he was able to move around undetected. As much as I love Anthony Hopkins acting, he was very good at appearing menacing and it made it very difficult to believe that no red alarms would go off, that he could move around in high society with ease, that no one ever suspected him. Mads came across as very charming and likable, that’s why I liked season one so much: the audience knows what he is, the characters don’t, and there’s this sense of menace underlining all his actions. You know there’s a master manipulator playing a game we can’t even see. Plus cannibal puns. Fantastic acting all around, fantastic horror, artistic, creative, tense, we need another season.

I like him best when he’s less styled, but all Mads photos are spectacular. There needs to be a term for the opposite of cleaning up well, because the reaction most women (and me, reluctantly because that wig was absolutely ridiculous) had to Geralt in the Witcher during the bath scene is pretty similar to how I felt when Mads hair was loose instead of slicked back in Hannibal. It’s sort of like a Victorian male who glimpses a flash of an ankle- I should not have found that as hot as I did, there’s nothing particularly dreamy about his hair, and yet because it was so unusual for the character to be anything less than perfectly presented, seeing his hair a little mussed just made him a million times more appealing. I find well dressed men extremely attractive but there is just something uniquely appealing about a man you always see in suits taking off their jacket and tie, rolling up their sleeves, and running their hands through their hair.
