Yes, it is very sad when a woman is reproductively coerced and then the abuser gets even worse.
However, another very common scenario (albeit slightly less sad, but still cringey), is when a desperate pickme clings to her LVM and gets pregnant on purpose because she thinks having a baby will finally make him grow up and commit. I have an aunt who did this TWICE with two different men, and ~6 girls from my high school were in their third trimester at freakin prom 😬

You guys will love this, my male friend is having a baby with his girlfriend that's due in 3 months... And he's seventeen. And she's only eighteen. And they had literally been together for about half a year before she got pregnant. AND it was on purpose. It kills me that I can't do anything about it. I think he's going to end up regretting it, then ditching her and leaving her with the kid. He makes a decent friend but he is not relationship material.

This was my BIL. He got his 18 year old gf pregnant cause he wanted to be a dad so bad, then she went out all the time and he was left alone with the kids all night. They've split up now. Just such a stupid thing to do though.

I found out my exbf (broke up many years ago) had a baby with the person he left me for. It sounds like an oops baby but she was more than 20 years younger and got pregnant, so......they are planning a wedding. ugh.

This is me too! I was a major pickmeisha and even moved countries for him. Little did I know he was with a 16 year old when he was 24. He didn't even have the guts to tell me - just ignored me and refused to see me once I moved there.
He got her pregnant a year later when she was 17- I feel sorry for her being stuck with such a crappy LVM. As far as I'm aware from mutual friends, they're still living in his parents house. She calls him 'husband', but they're not married even after 2 kids. As I am childfree it was a massive bullet dodge.

Idk I’ve seen some very sweet vow renewals. There was one couple I read about in their 80s/90s who did their dream fantasy wedding/vow renewal because they had a quick and bare bones wedding during the war. I think it depends on the intent behind the vow renewal.

I got accidentally pregnant with my ex. I did not want him to be the father of my child and Neither did he. I wanted the baby very much but got an abortion when he became abusive because I was umming about getting rid of it. Then I planned and left him not long after. So glad I did even though I wanted the little thing. I'm pregnant with my third with my husband now and my husband is wonderful so it was the best decision in the end.
