They love to tell women "What's worse? The side effects or being pregnant?" We need to start saying the same thing.
[–]sweetpotatocupcakeFDS Newbie 13 points14 points15 points 5 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
There are scrotes out there having the audacity to say that while not taking any protections themselves most likely? Jesus.

Tale as old as time. But they never want to talk about how 100% of pregnancies are caused by their ejaculate.

Women still die literally every day from blood clots and strokes caused by hormonal birth control.
Young, otherwise healthy women who don't even smoke.
And no one talks about it.

Plus the procedure is more of an in and out thing. Good mythical morning's Rhett and Link did a video about their procedures and I hoped it help the male viewers see its not scary, or as painful as what they might have thought. They didn't see to be sore and recovered fast. It also seems like its easier to find a Dr willing to do a vasectomy versus me going to several Dr's and gynos being told no I need to be BOTH 35 years old or more and have 2 or more kids. I eventually found a lady Dr out of state willing to do it and it wasn't covered at all by my insurance and I had great insurance!
If a man says or whines about condoms tell him he has 2 options: the condom or a vasectomy 🙂 watch them backpedal
[–]BellaMobFDS Apprentice 101 points102 points103 points 5 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
The options should be
1) Condoms
2) Vasectomy and condoms because we don't want STD's

Facts. He also needs to be getting tested before being with me and others should set that standard too

They don't wanna abstain, don't wanna strap up, don't wanna walk away from women who make it known that they're pro-life and/or not using birth control, don't wanna bank their spank and get snipped, don't wanna have their own birth control but want to cry about child support lololol...

VaselGel (https://www.parsemus.org/vasalgel) is a temporary vasectomy where a polymer like substance is injected into the vas deferens. It lasts 13 years and is reversed by a simple shot of baking soda solution. Shown to be successful in animal trials but for some weird reason has yet to make it's way to human trials... I sure do wonder why...
I think it should be mandatory that males get this procedure at 16 and if they want to be fathers they need to pass a course and prove financial stability. Abortions and unwanted pregnancies would drop dramatically, every child would be wanted and grow up in a healthy home. But I guess it's easier to ban abortion and force babies on women.

You can thank fragile toxic masculinity and the patriarchy for the reason why Vaselgel is not on the market today (and for the foreseeable future). They need the funding from large pharmaceutical companies, which are predominantly run by aging old white men, who more than likely believe that, if they even believe in birth control, that it’s the wOmAn’s rEsPoNsIbiLiTy to make sure she doesn’t get pregnant. Also, a lot of LVM have really weird twisted reason. I’ve heard of men who don’t want kids but they refuse to get a vasectomy because honestly they are terrified of anyone operating on there. IMO it’s largely bullshit because look at all the shit that women have to go through when it comes to the biological process. And I’ve also heard stories where men think that there testosterone levels will plummet and they will become bald (and I’m like what???? Source???). Then there’s the other explanation is that men think their ability to make another woman pregnant makes them “more of a man” so in essence if you take that ability away, these pornsick scrotes can’t enjoy sex anymore.
That’s why I won’t ever take birth control again for the sole reason of letting a guy raw me. He can 1) wear a condom, 2) get snipped, or 3) pay for my sterilization. I say we stop suffering so much for hormonal birth control (if we don’t need to take it) and start making men pay their dues.

Men who don't want kids, yet also feel like "more of a man" because of his ability to impregnate a woman has got to be the weirdest and sickest shit out there.

[–]yolosunshine 26 points27 points28 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
I knew a guy who had already had his kids, divorced, dating again.
Did he ever want more kids? No. Flat no. Under no circumstances ever.
Would he get a vasectomy to keep his super hot gf (my friend, she dumped him...)?
Also no. I don’t get it.
You’re not neutered, the sperms just don’t leave your body.

It is a red pill thing, if I'm not mistaken.

Ironically, baldness is actually linked to higher testosterone levels. So they don’t even get the science right.
Hahahaha. Mike drop!

Agree completely. I am NOT going back to the shit show that is hormonal birth control! This is a perfect example of women collectively sacrificing their health for men's pleasure.
[–]jayohday 5 points6 points7 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
This is how I feel. Just went off my bc about a month ago and I feel incredible without it. Let’s just pray my adult body and hormones can keep my teenage acne struggles from coming back! So far so good.
[–]veruscka 46 points47 points48 points 5 years ago (8 children) | Copy Link
Omg. Could it be because women’s birth control makes too much money? This is the first time I’ve ever heard about this procedure.
[–]gutsandgoreyFDS Apprentice 47 points48 points49 points 5 years ago (7 children) | Copy Link
Probably a big reason. Way more profitable to sell women a monthly pill or $1300 IUD than give men a one time, cheap af (seriously it costs pennies to make), long term birth control option.
[–]veruscka 25 points26 points27 points 5 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link
You’d think men would be demanding this to be available immediately
[–]gutsandgoreyFDS Apprentice 47 points48 points49 points 5 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
I know, with how much they bitch about women "forcing" them to have kids. Waaaaah why do women get to have abortions but I can't! Condoms make my peepee feel bad! I don't want to pay child support it's modern slavery!!

You'd think so, until you remember they don't want to take responsibility for their contributions to the gene pool, including their sense of masculinity based in the FeElInG of fertility. One of my favorite studies to come out recently demonstrated that eggs discriminate and reject sperm! Show this to men when they fetishize their sperm "conquering" you/impregnating you.

Oh and don't forget to then shame those women for being single mums even though they stayed with the child instead of abandoning it, and then mock the child for "daddy issues" as if the kid caused those itself!!!
[–]softensonicFDS Newbie 12 points13 points14 points 5 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
Wow, this lasts way longer than IUDs, and probably has significantly less side effects. I wonder why VaselGel isn't used more...
[–]gutsandgoreyFDS Apprentice 24 points25 points26 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Yup! Ice pack on the balls for 15 minutes and you're good! Meanwhile the IUD can take 6 months to a year to settle comfortably in a woman's cervix. Hopefully the MRAs can achieve something and actually fight for men's right to contraception. But something tells me they're just gonna keep commenting on feminist videos about the wage gap...

There are too many LV men out there, that even if this became a law or an idea, LV men would never take responsibility.

The truly sad part is that in no way shape or form would I ever, EVER, trust a man to take birth control. I'm still going to cover that department myself. I care about my body. They don't care about my body. Not happening if it isn't something like a condom that I can see it with my own eyes.
The whole thing double irritates me. They won't take it because "muh penis & side effects". But even if they did, I'd still have to take my own. 😡
[–]a-battle-of-witFDS Newbie 1 point2 points3 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
So, I get the point of this post - men need to take more responsibility when it comes to birth control. However, it is scientifically wrong. While vasectomies are reversible it leaves irreparable damage. Many men will have lower sperm count, pain, and struggle to have children.
In some cases, it cannot be reversed at all. So, while I agree that there should be more male birth control options, this post is kind of crazy.
