Guy says he likes how I don't smile too much on my pictures (weird thing to say but okay).

A couple of days later he asks where I am "originally" from and I answer that I'm originally from a southern european country.

He then says "oh this is why you don't smile a lot, it's probably our cultural difference". Mind you, I'm from southern Europe where people are stereotypically very warm and "smiley". I didn't like this because in the country I'm living in, people usually say that with regards to their colonial past and "cultural difference" usually implies their culture is superior.

I said that in 12 years that I have lived in this country, and as a citizen of this country, I have never noticed that I smile less than my counterparts.

He said "sorry didn't want to offend" and asked to go on a date immediately after, but I'm not feeling it at all.

The other day something similar happened with another person, and at one point they said "yeah you guys are organ thieves" (speaking about my country of origin).

I know xenophobia is a real thing where I live now and a lot of immigrants just shut up about it, but my gut tells me this is NOT okay. I don't want to put up with people treating me like this, and saying "iT's jUsT a jOkE cHiLL oUt" afer.
