I think in one of Tim Ferriss's books he talks about all his friends who married South American women because they were slim and apparently had old fashioned values which meant looking good for their man. Of course as soon as they came to the US and had the same diet and lifestyle as their husbands they all got fat.

You what I find interesting about that? How they claim Western women are “hypergamous” but not these mail order brides. I don't think it's about being feminine, it's just that people from these countries like to get with white westerners. This goes for men and women. They like westerners because we're white, rich and easygoing. When I went to South America there was a local guy eager to girlfriend-zone me. He thought I was more feminine than the local women. Of course what he really meant was that I was easier than the local women because the local women had standards (they wanted rich white guys) whereas I was an open-minded low-maintenance traveler who came to volunteer and learn about the country. So yeah the white foreign woman was the only idiot willing to date this LVM. And he took advantage of me alright. It's almost like we're opposite. We travel there to lower our standards of living - spend some time living in shabby places eating cheap local food - and they try to date us to raise their standards of living.

Yeah, this is a very common mindset of weebs that move to (insert any Asian country). Ive heard it straight from their mouths multiple times. They blatantly gloat about while western women see how low value they are, in Asia theyre seen as a golden white boy with potential. Its disgusting to see, and often it’s the women who suffer in the end. Those relationships often end up super toxic and abusive. The guy will always think she’s a gold digger in the end when, what else did he think he brought to the table?
