I’m currently trying to figure out what the line is between having experience with certain scenarios and knowing the outcome and letting my insecurities get the best of me.

Something that has helped is asking questions and not being afraid of the outcome. If he’s truthful, good. If he’s lying, that’s not my fault and has no bearing on my character. I think working on understanding I’ve done nothing wrong and there is nothing wrong with ME if a man lies or cheats has exponentially improved my insecurity in this area.

Yep! Once you start to learn the types of men, you learn what types to stay the hell away from. Human behavior is not that unique. There are many patterns and key indicators that can show you who a person is in the early stages of talking with them. This sub just helps you stay sharp!

I've gotten downvoted to hell in other subs for saying that as a rule, human behavior follows patterns and past behavior is the best predictor of future behavior. If they do something bad once, the chances are pretty high that they will do it again. But go ahead, give that guy who pays for porn, is best friends with his ex, and has already cheated twice in your 8 month relationship another chance. I'm sure THIS time he totally means it when he says he's sorry and he won't hurt you again 🙄

At no point have I misunderstood the situation. I’m able to predict what’s about to happen because I’ve seen the same behaviour multiple times. When men say ‘don’t judge me by what other men have done’ I struggle not to laugh. I’m not, I’m just pointing out that you’re clearly lying/talking or seeing other women/not that interested. Sorry it’s not on your terms anymore.

Having a self-preservation mindset does not mean you have "issues." It's perfectly reasonable to approach other people with the knowledge that they don't necessarily have your best interests at heart. It doesn't mean you assume everyone is trying to screw you over. It just means that you're mindful of the fact that it's your own job to look out for yourself, and that no one else is going to do it for you.

Is he a decent tipper and respectful of the server ? I have been on 2 dates when the guy left a shitty tip.Both times I asked the server for. Change from my bigger bill Andrew them a 20 % tip ..I made sure to tell the dude he was wrong.
