I'm sure this has been discussed before, but I'd to throw out a reminder that some (all?) of the trigger bans for states in response to the Roe v Wade overturn do make exceptions for rape. And if that is the only way for a woman to get a medically-assisted abortion in their state, well...sometimes you pick the rock, and sometimes you pick the hard place.

So with a very strong new incentive to make a rape accusation, I guess we'll have to wait and see how much that impacts the false accusations, and what that means for accusations in general. Will more innocent men get murdered by vigilantes trying to protect the claimed rape victims? Will victims have a tougher time being believed? Probably both.
